"DON'T LOOK DOWN!" as Kathryn continues to look down. Kids these days. I didn't go to Partnach gorge while I was there, but I went to a very similar spot near Interlaken, Switzerland called Aare Gorge, and you're right, it is a lot of fun.
😂 even though it's scary, it's still a great view! There are several beautiful gorges in that area. Most are closed in the winter. Thankfully this one is usually open year round!
What an amazing gorge!! So sorry you had such rainy weather but the video was still fabulous and it gives you a real excuse to return and see the lake!!
While living in Germany, one of our favorite places was Monschau, followed by Schnitzelbank in Heidelburg which had the best tomaten suppe and of course schnitzel.. But there are sooo many favorite places.
I've been to Germany at least three times, but I've never visited the southern part. This really makes me want to visit!! Can't wait for your next video!!
Another wonderful video. Thank you so much for your fantastic content. 181K subscribers-come on 200K! You really deserve over a million subscribers ❤ Safe travels!
Another fantastic episode! The Gorge and all the food looked fabulous. You guys have such a positive attitude even when the weather gets gloomy and unpredictable! Travel is all about attitude. Your family I am sure appreciated traveling with you. Safe travels always guys. Cool moves at the end Kathryn and your brother too😉
Yes as much as the weather can be frustrating at times you have to stay positive! It's all about attitude that's right! We enjoyed having them with us! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Love, love, love Germany and GP! We lived in Germany for three years and skied Garmisch each year. The gorge is a gem! I'm excited to experience it again through you guys! Neuschwanstein castle next?!
Although i didn't get to go, my parents went to oberamergau passion play just north of garmisch. My heritage is from a little further north, but this is wonderful country.
Oh I hope you all make it back to Zugspitze! We did it in summer a few years ago and it was warm but lots of snow on the ground. Did not deter us we walked all the way around the rim up there and the view!!?? Breathtaking! we even found two bottles of beer tucked in the snow. We took one and left the other for some other lucky hikers. Maybe you’ll find some Almdudler in the snow, you never know!
Thank you for your time and posting. Went here in 1975, but it was much more basic. BTW, I lived in Seattle too. I opened two Keg restaurants (Burien and Factoria), the TGI Fridays in Kirkland, and the Metropolitan Grill downtown. Just sayin'. :)
Great video guys! The gorge looks amazing. We have been going back to rewatch your Vietnam videos as we will be meeting our daughter there this Spring. 😊 Thank you for great inspiration and content every week! Happy New Year! 🎉
That's awesome! We're actually working on our Vietnam written content right now! We will have a Ho Chi Minh City itinerary up this week! Happy new year and thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing how beautiful Garmisch-P is. Even though it’s been 33 yrs since we’ve been there, some of your video looked familiar. Sorry the weather wasn’t cooperative! And glad you had a great time with family. 🙌🙌
Wow!!! It's like you had the gorge, the restaurant, and the hut to yourselves!! Loved that you had to walk back through the gorge to get out - different perspective than what you saw walking in. Also, so funny as you started to talk about the town, I immediately thought of Leavenworth just before you did. Got to visit there briefly for a couple hours a few summers ago on our way from Seattle to Lake Chelan. This place looks MUCH better!!! Thanks again for sharing!! #travelenvy
The gorge was pretty quiet when we got there, but about half way through there was a school group of at least 50 kids! And yes both the restaurant and hut were very empty...only 1 or 2 other couples there. That's why we sound like we're almost whispering 😂 Yeah Leavenworth is really cool, but it doesn't have anything on these towns. Although we did say to each other that after being to both Leavenworth does do a good job with their architecture and feel. Thank you!
Another great and awesome video!! The Partnerklamm is so cool and beautiful! Its amazing the nature and scenery in that area! You guys got the best foods in Germany... Kaiserschmarrn, Käsespatzle, Schnitzle, pork knuckle.... 😋 Can't wait to see the next video! A fairytale city in Germany....is it the black forest or Rothenburg? 😁
Looks like your are heading to Neuschwanstein next ;-) Garmish-partenkirchen and the surrounding area is awesome! I have the chance to go there every year for one summer week for a work team event. The lake Eibsee is beautiful, and there are so many trails as you mention!
I just came across your channel. this is perfect!! I'm a 70 year old woman and I'm about to start on my own adventure in europe, solo, hostelling, just having a blast!! I visited Garmisch-Partenkirchen when I was a small child. I'm looking forward to returning; there is so much more than the pretty painted houses!! I didn't know that! Question, I have knee replacements in both knees. I can walk up and down hills forever but I have a problem with stairs. The gorge pathway, is it all pathway? are you forced to take steps at any point?
Are you guys headed to England on this European trip? My last name Kislingbury is a small town in the countryside of England. I also have family on the other side that lives in the Chelsea area of London😊

Castles!
Hello Adventurers 😎😎, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING...WOW!! 😅 Hmmmm...does it resemble the Watkins Glen Gorge?? Hmmm...if been several times. WOW!!
Watkins Glen is still on our list, but from the pictures we've seen of it it does look very similar! We gotta go one of these days!
Looks like your are heading to Neuschwanstein next ;-) Garmish-partenkirchen and the surrounding area is awesome! I have the chance to go there every year for one summer week for a work team event. The lake Eibsee is beautiful, and there are so many trails as you mention!
Yes we did! Stay tuned for that this Sunday!
We hope we can return to GaPa one day! it was spectacular!
Ready for next Sunday, as usual 😁
Will you guys be traveling through Scotland too? Thank you
Not on this trip unfortunately
Thank you for introducing us to Garmisch-Partenkirchen! What a picturesque place! That meal looked like reason enough to go to Germany!
🙌

Hi! Neither of us remember seeing any stairs now that we think about it! Good luck with your adventures!
@@AdventuresofAplusK thanks, now I have so much more to look forward to!
Are you guys headed to England on this European trip? My last name Kislingbury is a small town in the countryside of England. I also have family on the other side that lives in the Chelsea area of London😊
Not on this trip unfortunately. We'd love to go back to England though! Hopefully in the next few years!
@@AdventuresofAplusK so what other countries are you going to?
Which month was this video recorded? There is limited if any snow there ..😮
I wanna be there the following january
Late December ‘23 😊
That looks Absolutely DELICIOUS! And you didn't share...Not Fear...😎😎😎. I would love to join the 2 of you. You to are AMAZING 😎😎😎.
So happy you went now, before WWIII starts.
Can you tell us if or introduce your family
Hi! They preferred not to be on camera for the most part
@@AdventuresofAplusK were they Katherine's brothers? I just noticed a resemblance, I have a bet with my husband... 😂
Yes they are Kathryn’s brothers 😊 they were mentioned and briefly shown in the previous 2 videos as well
Are you guys purposely overselling and overemphasizing what you’re seeing? …maybe throttle it back a bit.
No they are not. It is for me the best part of Germany. All the area in the south boardering Austria with great mountains, scenery, food and peace.
