    for the sentence "I fell in love with saki without realizing." would it also be acceptable to say きづかないでさきのことがすきになってた? is it more natural to say ないうちに in this situation or do both sound ok? thanks for any replies.

    • @wuma_
      @wuma_ 2 года назад +3

      I wondered the same thing. My first though was 気付かないで but I guess it’s missing the nuance of “before I knew it”. I think 気付かないでサキのことが好きになってた would be more like “I didn’t realise I had fallen in love with Saki” instead of “Before I knew it/realised it, I had fallen in love with Saki”. But I’m still a beginner so I’d love to know what the difference is

  • @tordyclark

    ミク先生すみません。
    X; "How do you think you can say..?' と言われない。毎回この
    表現を使って。。変です。
    Y;"How do you think you say..?" といいって方がc完璧です。
    Or..
    Y;"How do you say..?"
    "Can" means capable. In a guess situation, it's not used.
    You say "How do you think you can say?" each time, so I don't mean to belittle your output. You have a lot of great videos. THey're all good. It would be wrong of me to not mention it, because you speak such good English and it's just alittle thing that sounds really strange each time.
    じゃあね。日本語を教えてくれた本当ありがとござうます。
