Yeah I've noticed that too. It's rubber banding. I want to see if there's a way I can find a code for this and increase the rubber banding so I can go even faster.
@@Comando52Colton its proximity thing coded in the game - if the cops distance from the suspect is greater that a certain number they will get torque boost related to the distance and when they are closer than a certain distance they will get their torque amount back to its natural value which is 10 by defult - and cops wont be affected by horizontal gravity as near the same as the player so they can almost turn 360 in an instant wihout being flipped over and hits on them from evry angle has far less effect than it has on the player - they also dont have torque and gear change gravity effects on their accelerations and moves. also i think their center of mass is in a different place - its probably the rear end of the car but for the player its in the front hood of the car - also the mass and gravity are not related even a bit in the game so you can make your car massive like a rock by using the mass codes but it wont effect the suspension and handling and speed or acceleration of your car- i also think the tires friction on the ground has a different value for the player compared to the ai.
@@C.I... you cannot find it anywhere else - those are my assumptions from the ai behavior compared to players car behavior and those are all comming from my own experiments from playing the game for a really long time - probably from the time the game came out first for ps1.

Ok, you are moved to another vehicle, while the other cops think you are the chased car, but the chased car is doing wonderful job here. PS: well, I guess that is handled by quick chase mode, that it is started, but could this be activated in Take a Ride? I always hated, when cops in games and in free play chase and shoot only me.

I would think so as long as your game is the Greatest Hits version. Almost all the codes that where used in this video were not made by me. I only discovered the values for the level address and turning cops on. But I find codes using PEC (PlayStation Emulator Cheater) on ePSXe 2.0.5. I don't have a clue on how to find codes using a Gameshark on a real PS1 because I've never owned a Gameshark.

They don't even acknowledge I'm there. They are just going after the car I selected. They just happens to get in front of me after hitting or missing the targets car and sometimes be in their way so they hit the side or back of my car.

They are only coded to chase players. However, with a little cheat code you can make the game think your in a different car when your not.
