I HAD A B12 INJECTION LAST WEDNESDAY, AND I SAW BLACK SPOTS. I WENT HOME, BUT I WILL LET MY DOCTOR KNOW, AND I DO NOT WANT IT ANYMORE. THANKS FOR SHARING.
I take compound semiglutide with b-12 and on the first night of my injection I usually wake up at midnight with anxiety. My chest over to my shoulder and down my arm feels funny and I just fell anxious. My heart is actually not racing...in fact it is beating normal. I realized after looking up b-12 I saw that it gives you energy and can sometimes show up as anxiety, especially if it presents while you are trying to sleep.
I just took vitamin b complex from Cvs I got dizzy, shortness from breath, and I could feel all my nerves. And a mini panic attack. I'm drinking lots of water right now I should of talked to a doctor before Self medicating myself 😢😅 Thanks for your information !
I am allergic to cobalamin. Over the years I’ve had reactions to eating liver, mushrooms and a few other foods high in cobalamin. Now I can hardly eat meat. I can’t wear makeup that has cobalt in it. It’s confusing but I have to live with it. I also react to nickel and iron.
i have a b12 deficiency , and i have gut issues , and a racing heart , since i am getting hydrocobamine ( b12 ) shots 1000 microgram , my heart is doing much better, i had to wear a device to measure my heart beat from the cardiologist , at the same time the other doctor that was treating me for my stomach gave me the b12 , 10 shots total 2 per week , my heart feels way better and when i told this to my cardiologist she went ???? I thought she would know about the b12 , but she didn't !!!!
Hello Doctor!, thanks for the very informative video. It's been almost two months that I started feeling burning sensation in my feet. Sometimes I feel it in both feet. Sometimes in left or right feet. I read somewhere that low B12 levels can cause peripheral neuropathy and permanent damage to the small tiny nerves in feet. So I got my blood work done to see the B1, B6 and B12 levels. The report came out as normal and the reading are within the range. Even though the B12 reading is normal at 280 pg/mL, I feel the levels should be greater than 400 pg/mL. for optimal nerve function. So I am planning to go in for a B12 injection to boost the level. Can you please suggest what is the best dosage to start with to ensure no sever side effects before going in for higher dose? I appreciate your kind help!
No bc everyone is different and most don't have side effects from B12. If you are worried you can start with 1/2 or 1/4 of standard dose which is 1000mcg.
Hello Doctor. This is exactly what I am suffering from. Namely, anxiety, palpitation and sleep disturbance. As I noticed, this happens when taking drugs containing methyl forms of vitamins b. Complexes with cyanocobalamin (up to 200 mcg), which I take, gave a short-term reaction within an hour, which eventually passed. While the reaction from methyl complexes lasted about two days. (My homocysteine is around 10 units.) And I found an explanation for this in Amy Yasko tolerance panel. According to this, as a carrier of the homozygous val158met mutation, I should focus on other forms, mainly hydroxo. How common is this point of view? On the net, I saw information that hydroxocobalamin also causes palpitations, and it is less common. And what form of vitamin B do the tests reveal? Also what is the antidote if caught a heartbeat from vitamin b? I think I saw you somewhere that it is glycine?
@@swintegrative if you search for it you can find some info here and there. eg Dr ben lynch talks about b12 and electrolytes / potassium if you know who he is he is good at b12 and folate.
@@miklooo8080 Yes I do. It looks like this is happening when people are very deficient in B12 and have anemia. With these deficient states the introduction of B12 stimulates erythropoiesis (increased red blood cell production) The increased cells increases the need for potassium and can lower the serum potassium. Thanks for pointing this out!
@swintegrative yes makes sense. I am very low on b12 just started taking 1000 mcg and started getting the pulsatile tinnitus which is frequently low potassium!! Yet I eat tonnes of veggies! What do you suggest?
was taking a complex with 5000 mcg of the Methyl form , 2000 mcg of the Hydroxy form, 5440mcg of Folate and. 2mg of B6 for about 8-10 months. Started to develop a vague burning of my skin ( mostly Nose) then progressed to my legs and pretty much entire body. My B12 lab work was >2000. My PCP denies that the supplement could have caused this. Everything else was pretty normal but bilirubin was 1.3. 3mos after discontinuing the supplement my symptoms rage on with normal Blood work. Hi- I have been getting a lot of acne and acne scarring , had been taking hydroxocobalamin shots and then now on liquid methyl (oral). Tried methyl shots too before.Acne persists in all cases and lots of clogging of pores, getting acne on body too. Weird thing is the only thing that has helped is taking psyllium husk fiber (1 - 1.5 tblspoons per day in water). I read somewhere b12 changes the skin bacteria. Know anything else to help?
How about tachycardia and elevated bp? I took methylcolabamin b12 sublingual tablets 1000 mcg and by day 3 of this I had what seemed possibly a reaction from the B12. The tachycardia though didn’t start until 4 hours after taking the b12. And the tachycardia episode itself lasted for 4 hours! We’re talking tachy, 130-160 resting bmp for a long time, along with extreme restlessness and physical discomfort/tension. Thoughts? Could this have been an imbalance being highlighted?
I had the same issue. My Dr recommended 2000 mcg of b12 because my level was 230. One morning I took the recommended dosage ( it was sublingual methylcobalamin) instantly my heart rate shot up to 170 and I had to go the bathroom but also broke out in a cold sweat. I went to the ER and they took me directly to the back and ran a bunch of tests. My blood pressure was also high 140. I did not have high blood pressure previously. The ER released me and asked I follow up with cardiologist. I completed different tests and they said my heart is fine. However now I have heart palpitations and feel breathless. My B12 is lower now, but I’m too afraid to take anything other than food. I even tried nutritional yeast and I get a racing heart, not as extreme but enough to scare you. Don’t know what to do …
@@timmy6588thank you so much for your comment. I will definitely try it. It’s the heart palpitations that scare me the most, I just want to feel normal again. I understand it will take some time.
started a plant based diet about 2 months ago. I use to have hypertension but have been off my med for a month now. I started taking vitamin methyl-b12 two days ago and have been taking them daily. I was fine before I started taking B12. I only started taking it because of a plant based RUclipsrs video. I think I’m just going to cut out the b12
Hi thank you for your video! I'm nervous because I first did my own B12 injection into the butt area, following the correct method, and I now have a sore lump not visible, but intermuscular. I am hypothyroid and react to pure sublingual bioactive B12 (mix of methylcobalim and adenosylcobalim) by having palpitations. My B12 serum levels were low but not below range (298 on scale 200 to 900) so I am unsure why I have this reaction except perhaps it is overstimulating me as I have never tried this type of B12 before (I usually go for the cheaper supplements and never had reactions to them although I also find iodine and Vitamin E very stimulating and will be awake all night if take them, sometimes for days afterwards after just one dose). I have tried reducing the dose and doing it only every few days but I still react even to a small drop of this stuff. Any idea what may be going on?
