Whenever I try to run that last line in the cmd it says "Python was not found", how should I fix this?

That happened to me when I failed to get the environment variable path to add python. I clicked in the top window, but I couldn't push "edit" in the bottom path portion. So, I just clicked "edit" in the top path and hit OK. Turns out you really need to add the python directory in the bottom path. I don't know why, but the second attempt I made allowed me to edit the bottom path button (unlike the first attempt). Good luck!

Thanks for the video! I was able to get an .stl file that somewhat resembled my city.
Does anyone here have any idea why changing the divisor (-d) option in the lidartile.cli tool to anything but the number 1 generates the error "Non-exact divisor"? It's causing all of my buildings/trees to look like pointy castles.

hello, i don't understand why LAStools is not working for me : when I want to generate my asc file, I obtain an empty file (with a size of 0 ko and nothing inside ...) could you help me please?

I have the same issue ! I don't see any error messages in the cmd but the generated files is completly empty.
I know things work when they don't work, but could you help me too ?

You have to continue waiting. Or keep trying again. Only when you see a .prj file pop up will the ASC file become populated- the las2dem is suuuuper buggy like that.

Have you figured out a simply way to improve the final quality of the stl? Great video btw

Sadly not but I am looking into how Microsoft Flight Simulator did their buildings. They seem to have made a better way to make models from maps.

I found this video and it works! (For one building) ruclips.net/video/F_XsmoZJmG8/видео.html The only problem is that it makes no base and can't be printed since there is no base. It's not as simple as adding a bottom block since there is terrain gradients.

Hey, a great resource is touch-mapper.org It's for those with visual impairments, but it output STL or .svg vector graphics if you'd rather choose which parts to raise by how far.

is it possible to build it underground?!

oof but its super cool what 3d printing has got nowdays now you can print a mansion in a WEEK! and you can even print car parts and you can (i think) build vehicles!
