This book sounds amazing! I loved the Binti series which has a good mix of sci fi and traditional African practices.
This sounds fascinating! Can’t wait to check it out. Thanks for another wonderful recommendation!
I finished How Long Til Black Future Month a couple of days ago and it was great.
oooooh this looks super cool~ thanks for the review!
Okay I need to add this to my Goodreads, this sounds like something I need in my life
This collection looks great, I'm really pleased to hear that it's a great read with a lot of variety in the stories. The cover is also really badass, love the art they chose.
The cover is amazing
I only know about this anthology because of you and I'm not usually a fan of short stories just because I love longer ones but this sounds really interesting!
I just finished The Fifth Season
Thanks for reviewing!
No problem!
This might just have to be my next cop
This anthology sounds so good.
💙
I read this from Netgalley too! I haven’t posted my wrap up including it yet - would you mind me linking to your review when I do?
I found a couple of authors I want to check out more stuff from, and picked up David Mogo, Godhunter by Suyi Davies Okungbowa (who I think wrote the necromancy-style story which was CREEPY! Lol).
Sure go ahead! That necromancy one was creepy lol
Charles R. Saunders did a great job with Imaro but only a few people spoke about his trilogy.
I'm currently reading "Dark Matter: A century of speculative fiction from the African Diaspora" edited by Sheree R. Thomas and recently finished "Kindred" by Octavia E. Butler.
The last book I've finished by a black author was The Fifth Season byN. K. Jemisin. I gave it Perfect-15. It means I gave 5-stars to the writing style, to the character/s development and to the plot. Looking forward reading its sequels.
Where's yourrr Raybearer reviewwww ! ( 4 stars OooOoow ~ Dominion sounds interesting - Imma add it to my wishlist 😊)
I'm in the beginning of Cinderella is Dead and I just finish Red Rising Pierce Brown which I'd classify as sci-fi
I was going to do the review but since you asked for it I’m not doing it anymore 😤
Ghost Reader You have to do ittt🥺
