Hugs to you! As a parent of 3 I remember grounding very well. If the reason they won’t let him come over is because he’s grounded and that’s the ONLY reason maybe you can try to respect their parenting. The point of grounding is to remove things that are pleasurable to make the point. You are a very pleasurable outlet for your brother and that’s a wonderful thing. If this is only for a week or two go see him until he can begin to come to you again. I know this probably isn’t what you want to hear but most important is that your brother knows you’re still waiting for him and love him and ask him to do his best so he can resume his visits. Love ya gurl!
Your right 💚 he didn’t came over I was sad and he was too but I will still go and see them and bond with him. I’ll respect his parenting and hopefully it gets somewhere. He use to come over weekly and we would play family games or have deep conversations and bond. But I understand I have to respect his way of thinking.

I hope you’re doing okay..!! I look forward to your videos everyday. Keep busy and thankfully he is almost of age where he can be independent from his father’s rules. Always instill that he needs to respect his parents, but you can always guide him to make good decisions. Stay strong and there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but you have to get to the end lol. Hopefully he is getting grounded only for good reasons and that will encourage him to get better grades and visit more often. It’s likely very fun to be with you, but probably his dad thinks it is important to work on homework during the weekend. Encourage him to do great in school, so he has the free time in the weekends to be with you.

Don't forget some diced up onions and tomato paste for your vegan tomato sauce!! :) Sautee the onions with the garlic then add in the tomato paste and let it cook for just a few minutes (cooks the raw can flavor out) then you add all the other ingredients you listed :) Makes a huge flavor difference!

First. Your design placement for your plants is lovely and your jungle vision is on point. Second. Yes, your brother needs your attention, love and acceptance especially at this time we live in and at his age. You need to feel that you living up to your important role as his older brother is happening. I can imagine coming to spend time with you is a great joy in his life. Being able to laugh non stop at your energetic, humorous observations of life around you. You all getting together to teach him how to enjoy cooking. Giving him an opportunity to bounce his thoughts off of someone who really has time to listen. He NEEDS YOU. So let's also think about the Stepfather role. He may want that feeling of needing to also be important in this young fellow's life. He is feeling like he needs to provide love and guidance that keeps things with little bro on track in getting through school, he may feel that he needs to tighten the reins a bit to get your brother to settle down to understand that he needs to also focus on not only the fun things in his life. Yes, I think you should let stepdad know that you are not only in his life for good times and "ki-kis", but that you are also there to help him get through the tricky and
hard parts of life also. Assure him that you are not there to undermine his efforts but as an additional support for the team/family. You know how football teams have a defensive coach and an offensive coach. Both are important and both want the best outcomes. Perhaps let him know that during your bonding weekend with him this time there 😊😊will less games and more catch up time with school work. Quietly let Stepfather know that you take your role as the Older Brother very seriously. Just my thoughts.😊

Love how you rearranged everything 👏👏. It can be hard at times to understand family, but it is important to always work towards open communication. Not knowing all of what's going on, it's helpful for all sides to lay out their issues as they see it and to understand that respect for one another would be in place. Your brother could be going through something and not talking about it. Hope things work out. Your cat was too cute🐈🌻🪴

I have kids and cats so anytime I move anything there’s crap 😂 plus my youngest cat she loves water bottle lids and she’ll play fetch with them. But sometimes we just throw them 😂

Hey 👋 as far as your brother goes. I feel like you’re taking things personally. Your house is an activity for him to do. So if he’s grounded that means he’s home and only allowed out to do things that have to be done. I’m glad he has you. I think that counseling is helpful. I can just let out my feelings to a neutral person and get some feedback but most importantly I can let things out without prejudice.

I don't think seeing your brother is a bonus or reward that should be taken away as a punishment. You are truly bonded and your a positive, positive, positive in his life and you are also teaching him to be a adult / man / independant / confident. When he visits you its his time away from other family to reset where he's away from home life stress of everyone and the step. Even the closest of families need breaks and time apart. If you punish a kid with their own sibling and force them to stay in a place where they are already struggling it makes it worse and angers build up.

I made a longer post... But my main suggestion POINT was WHY NOT OFFER TUTORING to your brother? SINCE YOU WERE AN A / AP STUDENT, OFFER YOUR BROTHER TUTORING IF HE IS ALLOWED TO COME OVER FOR A DAY ON THE WEEKEND??? Then AFTER your brother accomplishes his homework and gets help in what he needs from you to get his grades up, you and he do those FAMILY things you enjoy together...watching movies, cooking together, laughing and talking?
This is offering "the step", not only a REASONABLE GOAL THAT BENEFITS your brother and getting his grades up, but It is also a compromise to ALL. It offers an olive branch and accommodates "the step", AND helps accomplishes THE MAIN GOAL in helping YOUR BROTHER. ❤

A counselor in high school once told me that I needed a therapist. I was probably 17 and I'm now in my 60's! Never got it, I told her Jesus is my therapist. He has been but I'm sure a regular therapist would have helped, so besides prayer (and that has helped) I see a lot of RUclips using Better Help. Maybe check them out, maybe they aren't too expensive. Praying for you and the situation with your family. Bless you till next time!❤

Also, I feel like step-parents should not play a role in disciplining kids that they didn't raise! If he knew your brother before he was like 7 and had built more of a father-son relationship that would be a different story. I don't know how long he has been with your mom though.
Honestly, I never had a step but my mom had long time bfs that were terrible... Abusive and alcoholics! So I for sure don't look at these types of ppl with good eyes from the jump.
I am assuming that depression is a thing that might run in your family. I don't want to get into it, but I gather that from watching you and how (I think) your other brother passed, perhaps your brother does need to talk to you.
You going over there is the right thing. Just go check things and make sure that your brother and your mom are okay. I don't like that she is allowing the step to overrule her at all (with the info I know).

seems to me, the quickest way to fix a problem is to figure out what it is. normally people talk. so then those people who care about the person would collaborate and decide who is best for sad person to stay close to emulate to become strong again. this is how it works... presently also in the villages of the past, many cultures and religions... mentors
if this is not happening seems like one of two things, they dont like you and or dont have the best care at heart..... what else is there.
the LOOK NO FURTHER FACT of this matter is that you both,(and mom) have lost a brother and son
SO OBVIOUSLY the navigation should be with those of the most heart and knowledge
Oh and far as taxes go, I hope you are aware that you can write off a % of your rent, % of ELECTRIC & utilities, any office expenses ( computers, phones, cameras, camera lighting, paper, pencils to plan on, staples, even paper clips etc,...% of phone bills, car expenses= MILAGE ( keep track of where you go, miles you traveled, write it all down in a journal if you don't already= also gas $, % insurance & car repairs, upkeep, oil changes, tires, ( as you use it to get to plant shopping video places) , the plants you buy ( they're a business expense too as you use them to show in plant shopping videos of what is available, in how-to videos , what to look for as in pests, root issues, etc), pots for plants, plant foods, pest products, and everything plant related, as well as everything in your t-shirt endeavor now too. And all the time you spend creating videos, from planning dialog, going to and from plant shopping destinations, all of your online time from posting videos, commenting , any offline prep ( plant chores to keeping up your "inventory" to present with, etc, all can be at an hourly expense- you decide a fair hourly rate to charge for YOUR TIME - that you should be able to write off also.
And any plants you have to trash= business loss. Any plants you give away = possible donation= tax write off ( ck w/ tax prep to know exactly what is allowed)
There's so many ways to get that tax bill down. The big corps do it, and DO MUCH MORE. We little guys are allowed tax write offs too. Its a bit more "HOMEWORK " to keep up with it all , but hopefully it will help you, if you're not already doing it all.
If you're doing all of this already, please disregard. lol If you're not, please look into it all. If you're not sure what accounts as a business expense/ write offs, maybe make an appointment with a tax preparer to get knowledge on what youre allowed. ❤
I love your idea of having your own website and using shop pay and offering rewards! It gives you more control. But also, E+$y ( I had to use symbols cuz RUclips IS STUPID and won't let me put the name! Ugg so dumb!!!) has a big arena of customers that you can utilize.
So why not do both?
Get your website up and running and use E+$y too as an AVENUE to get established and grow and use it as a marketing tool?
