This two have probably the healthiest relationship of all SW couples and best compatibility because of complementary personalities. Like he always sunny, friendly and outgoing, but occasionally can be one scary dangerous mf, and she is spiky, sarcastic and dark, but very insightful and a big softie under the surface. They support each other when needed and call each other's bs when it's necessary, and they love and respect each other because of that. Like yin and yang.
At last someone who see this situation like me! that's right pal, (When I saw this game for the first time I realized that this relationship have similar colours of raven and beastboy from teen titans series, one who is brightest/funny and the other is darker/sarcastical), and yeah they are the healthiest couple for now. I hope that Star Wars dont kill them haha, that will be a real tragedy and a possible fan riot.....
Kanan and Hera had a good relationship. But he passed. I hope Cal and Merrin stay together.
Merrin loves Cal. She is such a powerful character and saved his life multiple. Cal also has saved her. Love how he is worthy of her respect.

I love Merrin and I'm glad how they wrote her and Cal's romance in Jedi Survivor
One thing with Merrin's off screen growth that is massively well done, is that it mirrors Cal's off screen changes as well. He has become an insurgent against the Empire, where Merrin has gone and sought to aid others; in many ways they should be more antithetical towards each other, but that affection still lingers. It's also an interesting character study into loss and grief for both, Cal have become vengeful and Merrin seeks to bring comfort.
I would hope that this is explored further in a sequel game, perhaps where the player is given a choice to follow the light or dark path and how it effects the relationship with Merrin.
Merrin is such a well written character, she comes from deep into the lore and has a fantastic arch. She is Cal’s rock and Cal is hers. I would love to see them both, after this period in live action.

About embracing darkness scene: when Merrin came and said Cal, that she came to rescue him, I think she meant not from troopers bur from Cal's Darkside.

I do enjoy Merrin a lot throughout this game more than the first game since she is more involved on what going on at least and her relationship with Cal was pretty good to see there
Merrin is who Padme should have been, supportive-wise. Cal won't fall with her at his side. But if Merrin were to die... perish the thought! 😱😰
My biggest fear for the next game is that Merrin just becomes "girlfriend" character who Cal just has to worry about and protect all the time. What I really love about their relationship is how they feel like equals, actual partners fighting together.
During the campfire scene when Merrin lays beside Cal while he us sleeping, and puts her hand on his when he is dreaming. You can really see how she is his center. She calms the nightmare. Cal's inner storm.
The longest couple relationship I've seen yet was Leia and Han. Maybe Merrin and Cal can go even longer, and honestly when I seen merrin being force choked for so long I thought she was dead for sure, she's truly a strong character in this game, very powerful in the force, words, and her influence for cal, which ultimately keeps him from turning like anakin did. Essentially merrin is doing things for cal that padme couldn't do for anakin.
There’s moments in fallen order that makes you appreciate her presence in that she challenges cal and cere on the idea of rescuing the next generation of Jedi and whether or not it was the children’s choice to be rescued or theirs. Even when finding a new family she wasn’t afraid to challenge and provide perspective . This goes twofold in survivor. Merrins definitely one of my favorites in all of the media for sure.
Cal and Merrin had 3 kisses, just had to say it. They had the two you mentioned, and then they also had another one after the arrived to Tanallor. It’s quick, and kinda hidden, but definitely a passionate kiss LOL.
Actually there are 3 kiss scenes in the game, the last one is on the Mantis cockpit when they cross through the tunnel of the abyss, they kiss each other and Merrin hits Greez. lmao
Yeah! The last one felt cheap, they should have praised Greez piloting. The first one I didn't like too much either, is not believable in the middle of a dangerous situation. They should have limited to tease Cal and the player. The second was perfect and preceeded by a well written dialogue.
I was kind of hoping that you could play as Merrin when the game came out but unfortunately you can't. However it was fun to play as Cere Junda
I only thought Merrin was okay in fallen order and think she was one of the weakest characters, but im with you on this one she is my second favourite character in survivor.

I'm in love with the new look Merrin hqs in this game, it looks more casual.....
The growth of all the main characters was done very well in this game. I mean, how many times have we come across characters in movies, tv, books, or games that show little to no growth after a "years later" situation after events that would charge just about anyone.

Merrin appears to be more powerful than any Jedi telekinesis wise. Also she can teleport. Jedi can’t
Haven't finished the game but thus far she is the writer's plot device to do anything they want in the story. Without Merrin, there is literally no Jedi Survivor.
And Potentially Into Merrin Becoming The Wife of Cal Kestis Would be Something I'd Like To See In The Third Game If They Add A Wedding Scene On Tanalor Because Tanalor would be The Safest Place For These two to Get Married Without the Empire Nagging At There Heels
