Hi there many videos I've seen but you my friend best teacher I've seen on RUclips brilliant I very done paint work and learned from home and still learning 😊 keep it up
Excellent video as always. This looks better than new. I see new, even high end cars, that don't look this good. No orange peel, straight off the gun. Great job.
I like your technique - fluid wide open ( it seems ), gun close, and move fast. Magnificent results! I'm going to try that edge tape trick too. Subscribed!
Very shiny, very nice Man there’s a lot of valuable information in this video I like how you explained everything from blocking and refining and masking it up 👌🏽👍🏽
You marsk out exactly the same as my old teacher Leroy the big kiwi 🥝 bloke one best painters I’ve ever met in my career as a panel beater here in Australia 🇦🇺 he painted lots of cars I prepared for him lots of full resprays in hail damage and light smash jobs for Insurance jobs .. in the industry
Audi's former CEO also used to check on paint/surface quality with his bare hand. Nice to see a professional trusting his senses to deliver a great job.
Again came absolutely amazing finish loving the video series fantastic instructional video content keep the videos every day is a school day with candy man cant waith to see the whole car completed and build up.
been doing this every day for over 35 years and i still pick up ideas from watching people like you on you tube i like the tip on using a scotch pad with paper for hard lines nice any advice on how to do 20 hrs of work in 8 by your self id appreciate that lol
Candy Man thank you for one of the best presentation I seen on prep before painting. Your attention to detail is exceptional. It's oveous why your paint jobs turns out so fanomimal. Thank you for giving us the benefit of your experience . Exceptional work.......Bravo! ....
I really appreciate you taking the time to show us how to properly prepare a vehicle and the small tips. The work you do is exceptional because you are immaculate in your approach. The paint job doesn't appear to have much orange peel. The paint almost looks orangish/red.
beautiful job kandy man i paint cerakote for aerospace interior parts aluminium im a body guy by trade i miss this kind of work really good satisfaction hopefully i get a chance soon to paint my wifes new car which needs some body work as i bought it salvaged greetings from ireland just subscribed
Excellent teaching & results as usual in all your video's & hugely appreciated. The only thing that would be handy is to include in your supporting comments - specs on spraying (Gun / air-pressure/ fan adjustment/fluid adustment/ booth temp) it helps us a lot and saves us asking you the same questions over & over again )
your content is so awesome but can u put information on what is (bodyfiller , primer , etc i mean all the components that any beginner needs to repair a damaged cars
Thank you for doing this video as we requested. The details and explanations are more than satisfactory,... the way the paint came out like candy testifies to your expertise and good name! Looking forward to the assembly video.
You really should turn that pressure up to get the solvents out and break the clear up. Are you spraying Onyx? We used the dc3553 for years and it’s a good all around clear but now we switched from onyx to 100 line.. still BASF but it’s the best paint line available. You should check it out it’s incredible.. we also spray the glasurit 929-255 clear it’s amazing
my 95 Civic could use a full respray. It would be awesome and an honor for you to do the project. Roughly, what would a full respray cost if I can strip the car for you? thank you for the educational videos.
I carnt leave my passion of being a painter always wanted to do that just my cancer was stopping me from work but I don't care anymore am out there still doing it when I can just keep on doing your magic sir
I’ve always struggled with the front edge of door when they are still hung trying to mask . My jambs were done when I painted the inside of my truck cab. About read to spray the outside for the second time waiting on the weather to cool down some in VA. Thanks for sharing your hard learned experience could you do a detailed video about masking the front door edge off?
On vacation in Spain k man watching this sat on the beach sun blazing sea in front of me beach bar behind me I'm in a real good place 😊😊😊 wont be doing any of that kinda work for 3wks but as you often say you can achieve good money in this trade and you can 👊👊👊
Beautiful work Looks great. I got a buddy that paints like you . I can’t paint like that . I paint in a 10x20 . I am force to be right on top of the car or truck. 😅
Great job kandyman,ppg103 is that the alcohol cleaner for bare metal?,think I'm gonna get the dv1 base and clear gun Gonna try your fold tape technique, I do it similar but reverse where I roll the tape backwards so it's sticky all around works great for me but gonna try your way if I can get the technique of folding it like you do
Blocking out makes me hungry is it smokeo time yet 😂interesting I been using 400 to finish makes me think I’ll get no runs with the gun in my hand. I remember my first paint job wet rubbing with the garden hose using 600 and watching all the grey water 💦 running down the street drain 😂
Kandy man i got a question. I been watching you and brian from paint society a lot lately. I want to know when you spray clear. Do you mix the whole job and use whatever you need. Or do you mix in batches. And remix...
Do you only clean with the wax and grease or do you go over again with a water based cleaner? I’m thinking about trying your micro fiber method.. looks nice
Does it not make different scratches between a block and an orbital? I always thought that 600 or 400 discs on a orbital would make finer scratches than if you used a disc on a block because of the way the grits are layed? Eg I thought a 500 disc used on a straight block would create deeper or courser scratches than the same 500 disc on an orbi? I take it this was false information or it is so minimal that tge quick orbi over after with sane grit sorts that out? Don't know if this makes sense? I always thought that a say 400 disc used on a block would create say 320 or somethinmg sort of scratches? Sorry for the essay or if it made no sense whatsoever?
Cool the way people have explained to me was a 400 disc used on a block would produce the same scratches as a 180 on an orbi, thought it was probably bullshoot, thought I'd ask the master, and the master has spoken. Thankyou for your time sir
hello! I have a question, what sealer can I use for the deltron color base? I am looking for the best sealer for that line and apply deltron color base over the sealer
@@kandyman5315 Okay, the technical sheet states that deltron color base cannot be applied over ECS sealers, only water base in envirobase, what do you think? is it possible or not? and I thank you for the response! it is very helpful!
Beautiful off the gun finish on the 370Z Kandy Man, it doesn't look like it will much nibbing and polishing but you guys are perfectionists so I guess it will get a full nib and polish. It was great to see the entire process from primer to clear in great detail, I found some good tips and tricks in this one👌👌👍John UK

Whats the tap and paper on the hood or bonnet for to stop over spray underneath
Alright bro, been painting for years, but have never seen that tape trick you did for your jamb. Need to slow that down and zoom in lol
Thank u
No problem
Kandy man i got a question. I been watching you and brian from paint society a lot lately. I want to know when you spray clear. Do you mix the whole job and use whatever you need. Or do you mix in batches. And remix...
I mix a cup at a time
Can never get my clear to spray like that, always fighting to keep that edge wet,I do lay it down wet and glossy, but man it's a battle.
Are you using slow reducer and hardner
@@kandyman5315 think thats my issue, using slow activator but not reducer, and usually paint when it's the hottest time of the day.
I only use slow reducer and hardner. Even on a mirror lol

Excelent job!! Which Ppg primer you use in this job???
Check out the video before this one I show everything 👍
can you tell us what clear you used on this car ...and why you chose that particular clear ? thanks in advance Jay.
Ppg 2021clear it's a great high solids clear
Hi bro , how much did you charge to do this unbelievable job?
Not sure on this one sorry

A straight scratch is a little more aggressive than a da scratch.
Cool the way people have explained to me was a 400 disc used on a block would produce the same scratches as a 180 on an orbi, thought it was probably bullshoot, thought I'd ask the master, and the master has spoken. Thankyou for your time sir
It not that drastic of a change as 400 to 180 more like 400 to 320 grit hope this helps
