A1 job, it’s the hand behind the gun with the experience that makes the difference‼️💯💪🏾🎯
...this is unreal. I mean, look at that finish. So many decades of experience and products building up on each other simply pays off big time.
What i especially like is the message to never get overly confident - you need to put in the work.
Great Content. 5 Star.....Cheers :)
Glass, black glass! That'll be the envy of the neighborhood.
Perfection illustrated!!!!
Better the factory! Kandy Man, you are awesome!
MOTIVATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He took his time on that front bumper because its one of the most valuable parts of that car. GXP bumpers are hard to find and expensive when you do!!!
Mike's happy! Great job guys! 👏 👊
Kandy Man you knocked this one out of the park! That's a great locking job. Can't wait to see the rest.
Thanks 👍
Remarkable work 🤌🏽 love the color/car
Sheeeeee sooo cleannnn
That turned out great! Can't wait for the next one
Excellent advice. Materials and conditions are always changing and being able to get things dialed in on a couple parts is an awesome tip
Well said!
that clear is heaven sent...i want to respray my mercedes...
MAN! The paint job turned out excellent! Great job guys!
Looks like glass, great job!!
great insight into Kandymans professional techniques, thank you for the video uploads....
Nice clean paint absolutely proffessional work..
Thank you
Looks absolutely flawless, no peel or flaws from what I can see!! Phenomenal finish!!!!
Top notch.
Thank you “ Master Yoda of Paint” Great tips that most would never share but you choose to pour into not only the next generation but to us old timers as well. Blessings to you ! Looks fantastic!💪👍👊
Very nice, do the collision part of this business haven't painted since the 90s. Going to paint a truck i bought so been looking l around for tips and products on RUclips . You are one of the best on here . Like how you walk down the car withthe paint gun. reminds me of the stripe custom vans of the 80s that's how we did it
Great video!!!💯💯🔥🔥🔥
👊👊thank you
As always you did an incredible job. I appreciate your attention to detail.
Thank you very much!
Mike boy was right that bumper came out beautiful 🤣, amazing job as always Kandyman
Awesome work and the tips I've always used solvent cleaner then water base now I'll to it in reverse like you did thanks
Looks nice.
I purchased some Eastwood paint for a small home shop project and was pleasantly surprised.
Great to hear!

Amazing work
Thanks a lot 😊
Done it again k man 😊😊😊😊😊😊
I love how you spray it smoother first time then the eastwood guys do it! 😂
Beautiful job 👍🏻🇬🇧
Thank you very much!
Just wanted to say how awesome your lion animation at the start of your video it. Amazing work as always Kandy man 👏
Thank you so much 😀
Now I know why they call you the Candyman.. That paint job is absolutely spectacular!!
Good morning, very professional work, I would like you to add the Polish language in the RUclips settings so that I can translate it. Regards
That finish just from clear without a buff or polish is unbelievable.
I would be happy with just that if I had done the job.
Can't wait to see the finished car, thank you for taking us along for the journey I learn something every video.
Thank you very much
You knocked it out. Mike is lucky! Mine is next !!!
Lol 👊👊
Awesome finish...
Kandy Man. Hope you got some time with your family and ate some bird. Lol. The job came out amazing. Mike better appreciate it. Can’t wait to see it assembled. Eastwood makes some good products. Enjoy your weekend.
Yes I had a great time and the bird was awesome 👌
Amazing finish
Appreciate the support
Kandy man love your videos... that's not a thick clearcoat we all know it. At the end you said it best, to buy more clear than you need because it doesn't go that far AKA thin clearcoat medium solids at best... that clear is ppg shopline private label so good luck with Florida's sun...😅
Thanks for watching
It came out lovely and should look the business after a cut and buff , i'm painting an old Daimler Double Six tommorrow in my small unit. I've based it up today with 2 coats and going too nib it down and more base tommorrow then clear . 20 odd years painting LOL i've been at it 47 and still learning . 👍👍👍👍
💯💪🙌
As a painter it feels so good when you have such a nice booth to really lay down a nice job and see our work shine . Night and day from a subpar booth we all used for years . That dual car booth kicks ass !
💯🙌🙌
Been at same shop past 20 years, total crap booth. 6 lights 2 have been out for a while. When it rains it came in through ceiling filters. Getting new booth. Just tore old one down. Not sorry to see go. Finally something to look forward to.
Quite right, unfamiliarity (not reading the product sheet making the paint too thick or thin) combined with too hot or cold have been the causes of problems in my experience. Great video as always Kandyman!
Facts 👌
Beautiful finish from the Eastwood clearcoat Candy Man, I think it's difficult to get all the Eastwood products here but I know some are available but I haven't tried them. My paint scheme is solvent which I prefer in my little homemade booth, I have tried water based but I find it difficult to get a good finish plus drying it can be a problem, looking forward to the next one🙏👍John UK
Right on
You definitely don't get the same gloss finish as the more expensive clears but for a high volume workshop it's okay does the job
Gloss level is great even the next day👍
In the booth, the metallic made it look like a graphite, but in the shop, it's a deep black. Nice job! You didn't hit Mike over the head for that front bumper, guess he done good. Eastwood, move over PPG and House of Kolor
All of us other painters- "Anything sprayed out of a gun has texture."
Kandy man- Hold my beverage!!!
D@mmit man I'm impressed. She slick!!!🙌
OOOOOH WITH 2 COATS MIND YOU?? I'm quitting ,,,,2wks notice... hehehe great job
Lol thank you
Epic
Thank you
👌👊
👊👊
VE Commodore Australia made just renamed for American roads beautiful black paint job as well .
👍
That clear seemed to have flowed out nice, any pinching after the bake?
Didn't bake it but the next day it was still very glossy
Wow! amazing job! Any reason to picked epoxy for sealer but not their urethane primer/sealer?
That's what eastwood recommended
I meant “better than factory.” Fingers too quick. Lol 😂
Amazing job as always. Love your content. Wish you were close by I'd have my cars done by you everytime no matter how long the wait. 100% talent!
Maybe one day!
Me too , shipping from UK would be a little steep I'm guessing.
Laid down nice. Looks gorgeous. Is that new kid, Bryce, still working there and learning?
Thanks. Bryce got his dream job a new union lineman
@@kandyman5315 LOL. Well good for him. Dangerous work though but good bank. I would have stuck with the autobody and paint myself. 😁
are u mixing that by hand? i mean the knob at the top or do you attach it to something that will stir it? if you can please show in a video. im just a carpeter and painter interested in automotive painting.
Paint mixing bank
should the drop coat not be done immediately after the 2nd base coat? I thought it still needed to be wet since youre holding the gun further away now? thanks
I let mine dry then apply the drop coat
👍🏻
on my 95 Civic, I am debating if I should have the quarter glass removed for respray. The concern I have is the moldings are no longer available so if something breaks I may be screwed. Your professional thoughts / recommendation?
I would check with the glass it a much better job when removed
@@kandyman5315 perhaps you can make video showing how to tape around glass for the best results? Thank you for the great videos. ~ Mike
The Eastwood paint, did it come pre reduced?
Yes it did
Bad ass sir, quick question whats the maximum amount of clear coats that should be applied? If you going to block sand the clears coat, the clear coat is cromax g2 7779s
3 coats is what I do. if looking for more sand then reapply 2 more, known as a flow coat
@@kandyman5315 thank you sir
Do you tack in between base coats AND before clear coat?
Sometimes
@@kandyman5315 do you recommend tacking after your dropcoat?
Man, what results, doesn’t need cut and buffed, so how much better would it look cut and buffed, down draft booth?
Just needs a couple nibs buffed appreciate the feedback
Im painting a truck in my garage with metalic single stage. Its getting to be a high of 55°-58° out. Its got a heater vent but i expect it will be about 60ish with ventilation and some space heaters. Should i stick with medium activator or use the slow since its a bigger job?
Medium for sure might even grab some fast for a cocktail mix
@@kandyman5315 i have both. Like 50/50 or 70/30
70 30
@kandyman5315 thanks agin!
A gallon of clear 😳
Yes
I thought you never want to go higher than 400 grit when painting a car for adhesion purposes?
Depends the jobs blends 800 .fully painted panels 400 -600
After doing a skill for thirty years I find I make mistakes when I am so sure of myself I don't check my work ...
Yep we always have to keep up on the practice to stay sharp
