Strange that Luis wasn't familiar with it. It's a very Southern/Western name, no? (Which is why they used it in this set). One of the Dukes of Hazzard? Also, Beau Bridges.
Obviously it isn't the best, but M1G1, why not just vamp for a Fire/Ice? You can kill Hullbreacher, and then in response to Twister, Leyline Binding the Narset. Obv they still have a True Name in play, but you'll have a full 7 cards and they will be mostly tapped out.
Not to backseat game, but psure the line for game 1 (23~ mins) was vamp for fire/ice and kill hullbreacher, then leyline the narset in response to twister. Did you consider that line?
Was I missing something during that game 1 scoop? I do realise Luis is the polar opposite of Reid Duke when it comes to playing it out, but surely at least getting some info in a team draft on what the cards drawn were is something? Also, there has to be like a 5 - 10% chance that the Tank just draws into like 5 lands and 2 irrelevant spells.
beau is pronounced bow- it's slang for a loved one or a partner. also the word for cow in Irish is bó (pronounced the same) so I presume it's a double entendre!
The card looks like a nod to Paul Bunyan and Babe the blue ox, so its also possible that its a play off of that - babe and beau both being terms of endearment.
Match 1 game 1 I think the play was to vamp for Tribal flames, you can Flames the Hullbreacher, then Binding for 2 mana on the Narset when they Timetwister hoping to hit Omnath and try to outrace TNN from there. At the very least you unntap with 6 mana and a fresh 7.
Love whenever you draft green decks, they're never really green lol. First game, couldn't you tutor for tribal flames for the hullbreacher and follow with binding the narset, then getting a new hand from their twister?
Jace isn't what he used to be. There's not only a lot of cards that are better, but even a lot of planeswalkers that are better. It isn't 2015 anymore.
I was confused why you scooped game 1 while so far ahead on board because I forgot that narset *doesn't* block hullbreacher from working on your opponent's turn, only on your turn after your drawstep. Timetwistering you down to 0 cards wouldn't be a guaranteed loss if your opponent got no treasures, they could still get unlucky or something. But timetwistering you down to 0 plus seven treasures for them... yeah... we're talking about the 0.01% or fewer universes where they draw all lands and keep drawing lands for multiple turns
You know, I remember a while back you talked about cutting Craterhoof, and to be entirely honest, if this deck can't use Craterhoof, I think it finally might be time for its retirement :(
I'm stil waiting for the one MTG content creator who'll know Marchesa is Italian and is pronounced "mar-kesa". :) I mean, it just means "marquise", which isn't pronounced "mar-cheese". :)
59:25 we could just sac the spirit guide to grist, kill construct, attack Karn to kill it. We just need to draw a white to cast Atroxa
At 59:32, sac Spirit Guide to Grist to kill the untapped construct and then kill Karl with Mystic?
Beau sounds like bow. Rhymes with throw, grow, and mow.

Hearing him say "beeyu" hurt me a little
52:52 the rare time where LSV invokes his card manifesting powers against himself

The comedy of 39:26 where "I just need to draw a green creature" -> draws the only green creature he can't cast, was well done from random chance. :D
Love LSV talking about the prospect of "being domain" with so much excitement, as if he doesn't play 5-color at least twice a week baseline...
Not to backseat game, but psure the line for game 1 (23~ mins) was vamp for fire/ice and kill hullbreacher, then leyline the narset in response to twister. Did you consider that line?
9:10 "passing a workshop and urza.. what am i duing?" Ahahahah.. i love you lsv

yeah, I think that was a 1-3% equity scoop, a little agressive
Came here to post this, seemed like he just wanted more of his opponents deck to be a mystery...in a team draft....
Yea I was kinda confused there too atleast make tank have a removal spell, racing atraxa is super difficult

Beau isn't slang, it's originally a French word (hence the pronunciation).

My first thought at end of drafting was "Very interesting pile". Looking forward to the games now to see how this will work out.
this was a sweet deck, loved watching this one

This draft pod really just disrespected Jace more than Kendrick did Drake.
it's inescapable... I'm even seeing it in LSV's comments 😂

I can’t believe this 🤦♂️
@@MulletPower75really keeping to Kendrick's promise of no sneak dissing/subliminals.
Jace been real quiet since this dropped
Beau = Bow, as in "you have my bow"
beaumasters
It's a weird ass draft when Eureka doesn't wheel with four cards left in the pack.
I just drafted lotus and never got to cast it. I hope you have better luck!

Oh no entomb... "Excuse me!?" 😂

Beau is pronounced "bow" _(as in "bow and arrow", not "take a bow")._
Did you do the otj arena open?
I’m hurt LSV missed the wheel.
Excellent titling
❤
R2 really showed that you can't just go 5c and hope it all works out. Variance catching up to greedy mana bases
Talked about Scion of Draco and then didn’t take it 😢
missing the smoking the pack guy from last vid :c

It’s pronounced “b-oh”(beau)
This is the weirdest build I’ve ever seen
Poor courser 😢
