Was watching a YT video this weekend of a guy that was counting container ships setting off the coast waiting to get into the port of LA. He counted 99 container ships waiting to get in to port of LA to get unloaded. He estimated that between those there were over 500,000 containers waiting. Longshoremen make great money so not sure what hold up is...
I may have watched the same video today(a guy walking along in CA at the ports?) it’ll be interesting to see how the next several months play out in terms of “normal everyday life”!!
Just curious I thought the pull out fee was for the drivers to just get there load and go I would probably have to ask for a refund if I had to move a bunch of trailers to get to mine
What’s the benefit of haul and tow over multi haul? Wouldn’t hauling 3 units pay more? Gonna be getting into the biz but thought I’d go multi haul. Any advice?
Not bad! 7 cents more out west. Are you force dispatched or limited on choice of destinations? Ultimately- I don't feel IT pays their drivers shit, but that's a subjective thing and will vary from person to person.
In terms of parts to work on trucks or relating to freight needing moved!? I definitely think there will be a "second wave" so to speak if all the talk and videos of the shipping container issues persist. I bought a 12v cooler/fridge for my truck about a month ago and keep getting the go around on "give us two more days to check with the shipping.." I had thought it was an "in stock" product according to the sight I bought it off of... 🤦♂️
It appears all the drivers decided to sit home and draw unemployment. 😂 That place looks like the lines at our local drive through restaurants. NOW HIRING!!!

That’s insane! I think I’ve had one single pull and one haul and tow there. I don’t like that yard when it’s empty… I can’t imagine it being full!! 😆
