I have an issue with a brake light that "was out" but it was not the brake light on the bed it was the one on the cab. This how I got it fixed link to the resistors www.amazon.com...
Thanks, man!!! I think this fixed mine. The 3rd light was out (got pulled over) replaced it with a LED. Saw this video and swithed that light back to a regular bulb. My problem is fixed... So far. Nevermind, it came back on. Ram/Dodge really needs to fix this. It should be a recall or a class action suite against it. Too many people having the same problem. It's super annoying!
Good job on the goofy Ram wiring and faulty self diagnostics that the Ram trucks splash onto the dash at start up. My 2015 has the same passenger “Brake Light Out” message at start up even though the brake lights, flashers and turn signals ALL work perfectly. Hopefully I can check my third brake light and solve this issue. The error message should have been programed to be “Right or Third Brake Light Out”. There are loads of Ram truck guys dealing with this issue. Thanks for posting.
ya dealership quoted me 96$ to change that little light. i said no maybe next time. i drove off to a parts store spent $9 for 2 lights and then at home spent 2 min to change it. i always google and youtube repair jobs before doing it at a dealership, oh ya the time before they wanted to charge me $70 for air filter and install. cost me $20, cool thing though the mechanic came out as i was leaving and showed me how to do it myself. even they think the company over charges

Just changed mine today in 2015 Ram Bighorn. Message said right rear, it was 3rd light. Put in led, message cleared and light working (for now).
