I'm selling my laptop to buy an Xbox because my laptop just isn't powerful enough for me. Why play Skyrim on minimum settings and deal with the game constantly crashing because it's on Ubuntu (I have to use Steam Proton to run it because my laptop literally will not let me install Windows) when you could play at 1080p with proper shadows that don't bog down your system at all AND do it on a quieter console. My laptop is a 400 dollar budget laptop with an AMD A10 quad core APU from the Bristol ridge generation. It certainly doesn't suck, it's actually the most powerful laptop I can find for the price I'm selling it for (300 dollars) but for what I play and how often I play it's more sensible to buy an Xbox and a mouse/keyboard. I love PC gaming, but I'm a poor guy, so I've gotta stick with console. And I absolutely refuse to buy another PlayStation. I was a lifelong PlayStation fanboy until the PS4. It was great when I first got it, but the piece of shit has gradually slowed down more and more to the point that it can't even run certain games anymore because they just crash the system. My PS4 Pro doesn't crash but it's legitimately so loud that I thought a real jet was flying around my house when I first turned it on. The noise is even so bad that it covers the sound of a window air conditioner and the TV at nearly full volume. A console shouldn't be making sounds like it's about to explode the second you turn it on. Will never buy or recommend a Sony console ever again.
Look guys. If you're a PC player good for you, but don't put other people down for wanting to play on console. I personally love console because I grew up with it and it'd be hard for me to convert to mouse and keyboard. But this overall is about people having opinions, and you read my opinion. The least anyone can do is respect it and not run it to the dirt.

Got mine with the bf1 bundle last week. Sure it isn't much of an upgrade from the Xbox 1 however it is an upgrade for me since I'm upgrading from a 360 and I'm happy with mine

For under 200 or around 200 it is a bid deal but if you have around $500 you can build a pc that is stronger then xbox X and even for $400 the pc will still be better if you know your parts

upgrading from X1 to the X1S , to me, was a wonderful choice. also nice to have a 4k bluray player at a much cheaper price than the devices that just do that and nothing else unlike the X1S.

I got one today.... I am a hard 24/7 Xbox gamer, I really like playing RocketLeague it has a lot better graphics than the Xbox one. I also have Fifa 17 and personally it is %100 better! I recommend it and the controller feels really good! From a loving Xbox one s gamer.

I'm late, but I plan to buy my second console (my first console was a wii back in 2010 when I was 6, I'm 16 now, my parents never let me buy a console ever again since that time, I was promised a xbox 360 I even got a game that day, but I never got it) Here I am today I started working and I ask my mom if I can buy myself a console and she said yes, but she told me to wait to see if a deal pops up in any store. So I hope that she actually lets me buy the console. (Anyway, the video definitely helped 👍)

As a PS4 player this is interesting to say the least. It certainly makes me consider switching to Xbox. I defiantly would if I didn't hate the feel of Xbox controllers.
pwnznoobs7 I'll keep that in mind, thanks. Maybe in the next generation of consoles I'll go with Xbox. There are other factors but they are really similar. Other things that factor into my decision are graphic and the ability to film for RUclips. I'm getting a capture card so the filming for RUclips doesn't really matter. If the next Xbox has better graphics then that will probably make me get it.
I was a PS guy before and the Xbox controller felt really weird at first, but when you're playing you notice how ergonomic it really is. It's like you're not holding anything and it doesn't hurt even if you play for dozens of hours. I hate the feel of the Dualshock 4 now lol

I mean, consoles are catching up, I won't lie - and yeah, other then MMO's I would rather play multiplayer stuff on my PS4 - a bit more even ground that way, but... mah mods... mah delicious, delicious countless single player mods.... so.. much... awesome. I'm pretty much never getting any Bethesda game on a console, even though they are adding mod support now - its still limited compared to the fun I can have with PC versions. aka - PC has its advantages still :)

I say just wait for the Scorpio, if you really want a console. At least that thing is rumored to have the new Vega GPU. The Xbox One's performance was really disappointing to me; games running at 720p to 900p. The Xbox One S isn't much better, all they did was overclock the GPU from 850MHz to 915MHz, whoop ti doo. Dealing with subpar visuals and low frame rate was pretty much why I opted out of consoles. Think of the Xbox One S as between a GTX 750 and a 750Ti. Wait for the Scorpio. If you have a 4K TV, you could buy the Xbox One S as a competent and cheap Ultra HD Bluray player.

As someone who actually understands the parts that go into a gaming system, PC's are much, much cheaper, and several times easier and cheaper to repair and upgrade. PC gamer here, never owned a console. The one s 500 gb price point hits me right where i can dish out the cash and not feel it too much - essentially getting a decent gaming and multimedia system for under the price of last year's graphics card releases is pretty good.
Depends on what you want man. Are you a casual or a hardcore gamer? S is 299.99 and the Scorpio might be 499.99, it would come with high tech for those that call for it. If you barely play then the S is for you. It's up to you man.

Am i the only one who didn't have a problem with the console buttons being touch sensitive...? Look if you accidentally hit the power button on, that's your own damn fault. Don't pin this on Microsoft just because you are clumsy idiots. I've managed just fine with the power button and yes i too have had accidents where it got turned on by either my cat or my clumsiness but it's all about where you put it. I'd say put it somewhere high and spacey so that you don't with an accident go all oops! Besides i love how furturistic it feels and that pling is comfy to hear. And the XBONE S is pretty cheap compared to XBONE Original, plus there's bluetooth and a headphone jack now... Well the headphone jack problem really i have solved but the bluetooth part is really handful since i use bluetooth frequently for most of my devices so that's a must in my book. And maybe the optical port is now fully proofed since the one on my old XBONE got tired after my stupid aux cable. But the HDR sounded really sweet. Heck might be even better than 4K nonsense that's been going on lately... Hmm seems that i have made quite an dilemma here for me. Oops...

Yes but you can also plug a micro usb charger into it if you do not have batteries. You can buy a rechargeable pack as well.

Other things that factor into my decision are graphic and the ability to film for RUclips. I'm getting a capture card so the filming for RUclips doesn't really matter. If the next Xbox has better graphics then that will probably make me get it.
I was a PS guy before and the Xbox controller felt really weird at first, but when you're playing you notice how ergonomic it really is. It's like you're not holding anything and it doesn't hurt even if you play for dozens of hours. I hate the feel of the Dualshock 4 now lol

@LXVE PC's are damn nice for single player though. I mean, consoles are catching up, I won't lie - and yeah, other then MMO's I would rather play multiplayer stuff on my PS4 - a bit more even ground that way, but... mah mods... mah delicious, delicious countless single player mods.... so.. much... awesome. I'm pretty much never getting any Bethesda game on a console, even though they are adding mod support now - its still limited compared to the fun I can have with PC versions.

I say just wait for the Scorpio, if you really want a console. At least that thing is rumored to have the new Vega GPU. The Xbox One's performance was really disappointing to me; games running at 720p to 900p. The Xbox One S isn't much better, all they did was overclock the GPU from 850MHz to 915MHz, whoop ti doo. Dealing with subpar visuals and low frame rate was pretty much why I opted out of consoles. Think of the Xbox One S as between a GTX 750 and a 750Ti.
Wait for the Scorpio. If you have a 4K TV, you could buy the Xbox One S as a competent and cheap Ultra HD Bluray player.

As someone who actually understands the parts that go into a gaming system, PC's are much, much cheaper, and several times easier and cheaper to repair and upgrade. Plus the fact that almost all Xbox games are playable on PC, and that cross-play is becoming more popular, the amount of reasons to buy a console are diminishing with amazing speed.

PC gamer here, never owned a console. The one s 500 gb price point hits me right where i can dish out the cash and not feel it too much - essentially getting a decent gaming and multimedia system for under the price of last year's graphics card releases is pretty good.

Look if you accidentally hit the power button on, that's your own damn fault. Don't pin this on Microsoft just because you are clumsy idiots. I've managed just fine with the power button and yes i too have had accidents where it got turned on by either my cat or my clumsiness but it's all about where you put it. I'd say put it somewhere high and spacey so that you don't with an accident go all oops! Besides i love how furturistic it feels and that pling is comfy to hear.
And the XBONE S is pretty cheap compared to XBONE Original, plus there's bluetooth and a headphone jack now... Well the headphone jack problem really i have solved but the bluetooth part is really handful since i use bluetooth frequently for most of my devices so that's a must in my book. And maybe the optical port is now fully proofed since the one on my old XBONE got tired after my stupid aux cable. But the HDR sounded really sweet. Heck might be even better than 4K nonsense that's been going on lately...
