    Halogen are weak ligands
    while Carbon/nitogen containing ligands are strong ligands.

    Compounds with weak ligands will always have sp3d2 hybridization, while ones with strong ligands will always have d2sp3 hybridization

    All Halo grp ligands are weak field ligands
    And CN- No2 etc which start with C or N..those ligands are strong field ligands
