I watched several lectures of this topic, obv they were helpful but were too long, of 1+ hrs....your explanation was precise and to the point.loved it.
Compounds with weak ligands will always have sp3d2 hybridization, while ones with strong ligands will always have d2sp3 hybridization

Uh have to fill 4 orbit as the coordination no. Is 4 ...then uh will see 1 orbit of s and 3 orbit of 3 this combining sp^3

And CN- No2 etc which start with C or N..those ligands are strong field ligands
