THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! All my friends are so confused on how to chose between these reactions, and after watching this video, I've become so good at it that they always come ask me to help. Can't believe that an american teacher has such amazing videos of indian competitive exam topics.
hey there! I'm brazilian and I'm studying for ITA's (Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica) exam. This week I discovered your RUclips channel and since then I watch many of yours "Explains". I just wanna thank you for your initiative, you are helping a lot of people! (sorry for my English, I'm learning yet)
I have one of those rare professors that made me understand these mechanism, but it's always to good have supplemental videos for further concrete understanding. You sir are saving thousands of GPA's :) Thx man!!
You have saved my organic chemistry life, all the carbons in my body thank you. Literally was terrified for my exam on friday, and this gave me so much relief and understanding. I was like, "OOOOOOHHHHH..... thats what it means." and, "OOOOOOHHHHH...... I UNNDEEERRRSTANNDD!!" :DDDD. Thank you so much!
The intro and outro somehow make me feel like I'm in kindergarten again although I'm at university. I'm so confused. I'm not so confused about these mechanisms anymore, the video was very helpful, thank you!
Wow ! ... So when heat is increased, entropy which is basically disorder is increased. With 2 products we get 3 products. That explanation of disorder or entropy was Awesome ! Very easy to understand now. Thanks !!
I've been reading my textbook, reading 'organic chemistry as a second language', going to study groups, reading my notes, and reading my professor's notes for 2 weeks trying to understand this. In your 19 minute video, you made it clear to me finally. My exam is tomorrow. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
@@gumroxmysox123 I didn't do as well as I did on my first exam, but considering how much more difficult this section was, I still did okay. 20ish points above the mean

Thanks Dave, I did my substitution and elimination test today and I got 100% 35/35 score! althought I got a point deduced because of I through that SN1 had no transition states so I didn't draw them in the potential energy graph of Tert butyl Bromide + Water He restored a point to everyone because the question involving the energy diagram was misleading.
