Great video. The kick down is a great idea. But as a manual driver of many years, the one thing that I must commend Mazda on is the Skyactiv-Drive 6 speed AT. I've driven many autos over the past couple of decades and have always cringed. Many reviewers with mechanic content such as Savagegeese and Car Car Nut rave about this transmission as being the best auto on any mainstream vehicle, and I agree. It's fast, not a CVT (massive win for noise and speed), and I love the automatic rev matching on downshifts.
The last one's been true for most cars in recent years. If you put your foot down they have a mode where they basically give you more power and better gearing. This is for a few reasons like pulling onto a highway, over taking and emergency situations when you need to move out of the way. Each car does it a little different but the result is the same.
I ve gotb exactly the same car that you have, but I really like the red purple color of your dash board! It is not available here in Europe,we only have brown, and black....so sad
Full open throttle, I’d assume. Most electronic throttle bodies will roll on the throttle, even if you stomp on it, in order to preserve transmission life. I’d assume if you push it it opens it full.
If you let off the brake pedal it does not release, if you tap the gas with seatbelt on it will release. Only takes a small tap so you don’t have to go flying forwards or back
most of yellow notifications were just recommending that ur car shoulde be get checked but red symbols were warning messages and u better should look for a repair shop
Already knew about the gas pedal kickdown switch, Mazda copies a lot from BMW, I’m glad they do. I have the 2021 Mazda 3. Great car.
Such a nice car you have! 👍 I own a 1st gen facelifted Mazda3 hatchback since new....going to be 15 years old in 6 months' time!

Have you ever been in a 2011-2016 toyota 6 speed with tiptronic
I just bought a used Mazda 3 gt for my son and the automatic parking brake feature was really annoying. Thanks a lot for the tips.
How to turn on leaving home and coming home features? I couldn’t find any way to set it up. If you could please teach?

Kick down has been on most if not all automatic transmissions at least since the 1960s.
Is there anyway to make that “hold” switch to active? Right now when I turn the car off and back on I have to activate it again. Thanks!
You can’t make it always on
@@3turbo144 how to do that ?
Any way to get rid of annoying seat belt alarms, particularly in rear seats?
No way to turn them off. The rear seat alarm only goes off if it was buckled then unbuckled while driving
that question is like.. how to kill myself :DD
Is there a way to turn off the auto lights once you begin driving 2mph or faster?
Not that I’m aware of

The red interior was one of my favorite parts of the car!

Just call,the dealership
Man this is great tips!
is the nav sd slot only applicable for navigation or can it be used for anything else?
Nav only
What is the kickdown switch good for in manual cars? My car is a manual and also has it.
No idea, probably just uses the same pedal as the auto
It bypasses set up speed limit.

why is your engine light on
Thats a service reminder.
that means our service is due soon 😂
Very helpful 👌
Mine first start no matter what seatbelt on or not I still have the parking button to at least the break

More tips!!
oh- ok if no kick down switch pressed go rev 6k..........tha-nks
Or if traction control is off it shouldn’t shift automatically
@@3turbo144 Very helpful tips am go try this weekend You are the best
Just rip it down into drive lol
Any way you can add a trip timer to the gauge cluster. Every car has it 😏
Mazda unfortunately does not have one
cuz its not a race car.. and mazda dont want to be one of those mainstream pseud... new mazda is like older bmw.. For sheer driving pleasure
if the traction control is off, it will not shift for itself
