- A few people were asking for a more detailed video installing the JB4. This is all the detail you need to install it. It’s really not that difficult

I just installed mine. 5 zip ties and 5 to minutes organizing the cables make a nice clean install. I was twitching looking at how he sloppily leaves the cables. Tape the Bluetooth modual? Of course it came loose. Zip ties are your best friends!
Dumb question, but I assume while this is plugged in, you can't plug in any other OBDII gauges like an Ultragauge or a Lufi?
1. My iOS v15.0 required a beta download to get past the "Upgrade to revision 3.7" loop 2. That MAF plug fits like shit and should be ziptied in place. It will eventually come loose from bumps and vibration, causing a slew of CELs. Nice video and happy boosting!
I zip tied it on the Corksport intake just to be sure, but mine fit well enough on the factory intake
Can you install the Bluetooth module before connecting the in to the engine? I don’t wanna loose any screws to my engine bay.
Give us an update buddy. JB4 on a M3T isn’t common to see on YT. How’s it been and what’s the daily prognosis on having it. Thanks
I def would’ve by now but I traded it 12/2021 for a Mustang
@@3turbo144 nooooooo lol
Has it been on a dyno? Have you done any 1/4 drags and 0-60times with it?
Never been on a dyno or quarter mile. My best 0-60 is 5.4 but I know I can do better
@@3turbo144 The best I've seen on a Dragy is 4.8 and it was only 1 degree downhill. A TCS off brake boosted launch is hit or miss - you'll either burn all 4 of these shitty OEM all seasons up to 5K RPM, or get just a little chirp and put all the power down.
curious to know, would something like this be possible on a 2.5 non turbo model ? thanks
No it wouldn’t. I’m like 99% sure you can check their website and they have a forum but the tune messes with the maf to make the turbo think it’s not getting enough boost. I think it’s only on turbo engines
Not the same type of sensors are used in natural aspirated cars compared to turbo engines
Lol
What if you don’t have the Bluetooth module?
You can purchase a computer cable instead. I’d recommend having one or the other to at least make sure you’re on the correct map, you don’t really NEED it otherwise
@@3turbo144 where would you connect the computer cable? sorry for the newbie questions. New to this.
You’d open up the box and plug it in just like the Bluetooth cable.
Man that sucks. Ive been spoiled by COBB lol
I was just thinking the same thing. I’ve owned 2 STI’s and a few WRX’s over the years. Cobb made it so simple. Was looking for something for the CX-5 for the shits of it but man, I keep reading “you have to remove the bumper”. Yuck.
@@Dennis-66 I'm in the same boat. Had some WRXs and a FiST, now trying to figure out what I can do with my CX30 turbo. I just got an aFe scorcher, but looks like actual tunes are not gonna happen 😢
