AEG T61275AC Protex Condenser Tumble Dryer drum not turning Error E50

In the middle of a cycle the drum when the drum periodically stop turning it sometimes wont start again on its own (but will if i press the stop/sart switch) and then eventually gets an E50 error.
When it does start I notice that immediately before starts there is a click (like a relay), but when it won't start there is no click. Pressing the start button will get the click and a start. The click appears to come from the PCB area.
When it starts the motor works fine and whenver there is a click the motor starts.
Conclusion: Tested motor run capacitor and seemed faulty so replacement ordered, fitted and machine just completed full cycle.

Tested 7 microF motor running capcitor and found no building resistance when swapping polarity. (Check safety steps needed re discharging capacitors) so ordered a new one and that seems to have solved problem as it's now completed a full cycle.
Hope this helps someone else as it suprised me that the run capacitor would give these symptoms

My belt needs replacing on this model - how easy is it to replace, as i assume you need to remove the drum to thread the new belt replacement through?

It was the 7uF motor run capacitor I replaced on my AEG tumbler. I searched for my order and it has the description & part number "Capacitor for Tumble Dryer 1256417013" I bought from fiyo.co.uk. www.fiyo.co.uk/capacitor-for-tumble-dryer-1256417013. It's been running fine since May with the replacement capacitor for less than £10 shipped.

Hi DeStMi, i have the same problem with an identical Tumbler (Electrolux TW L4 E), only click-noise, no turning of motor-drum.Do i have to replace the big capacitor mounted below the Motor (18 uF, 425-475V, Diameter ca 40mm, length ca 70mm) ?thanks & regards

E50 mean moter not turning or software promble.
