Thank you for your help! I wanted to add a hood to an open cardigan and this worked perfectly. I now have the confidence to make hoods for any garment, hoods always mystified me before this!
I was hoping if we could see each and every one of the examples you gave us in pictures of real garments just to have an idea how they turned out later after sewing! Other than that thanks for video it’s really helpful ❤
@@PatternStudio101 I'm also more of a visual learner so I would have liked that too! maybe you can include sketches (or reference images from online photos) showing how the different shapes effect how the hood would drape/act, just as a rough baseline idea. (thanks for this tutorial btw! really appreciated the images for how to take measurements!)
I tried it give v good result... If u have time plz... We need oversize hoody shirt bodic 😊.... The point in shoulder drop, shoulder width compare to neck depth .
@@PatternStudio101 Sorry! The front neck drop is from the shoulder to the center front, right? But if shirt is a cowl neck (where the front drapes into the breast instead of having a high neckline) how do I measure the front neck drop?
Sorry I am new at this. Does it mean that I make deeper curve to get the length or do I extend the horizontal line (the first horizontal line that you draw. Back neck and front neck). Thank you for teach me
@@tdodo3026 hi, watch the video 3:08-3:12. At that stage, you can extend a horizontal line from the center front. From HSP, you measure back neck length and front neck length along the curved line. And extend your front extension. Does that make sense?
Your cat is adorable ! 😻
Thank you!! He is the boss of my house 😆
Such great detail! I was very interested to learn how the front neck drop affects the back neck stand. Your video makes it so clear.

How do you want me to measure the back neck. You dont have any instruction as far as I can see
Care you a clear demo on circle skirts 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full and a double circle skirts.
hi! i have a question, why is the center front neck point not at the end of the line and how much do you recede? thank you! 💗
You measure the front neck length along the curve. From the high shoulder point.

thank you so much for making this channel, I have found it very helpful over these past two weeks, I was just wondering, what software do you use?
The program I'm using is PAD system.
How is this pattern cut????? Is it flipped to make one piece ? I’m not understanding why you would like a seam up the middle. Please respond
I don't understand your question. Please explain with more details.

@shamirjohnson325 Technically, you can't measure the neck drop for the cowl neck tops.
I don't know what HSP stands for in the tutorial.
High Shoulder point!
I'm so grateful! Thank you for this video ^_^♡

Happy to hear that. Thanks for watching my video!!
Hi Jin. Thank you so so much for all your videos. Is this hood including an overlap at the front? If not, how do I add that? Thanks
When you measure the front neck length along the curve, you extend the amount of your extension (watch the video 3:08-3:12)
Sorry I am new at this. Does it mean that I make deeper curve to get the length or do I extend the horizontal line (the first horizontal line that you draw. Back neck and front neck). Thank you for teach me

Yes. I will try that. Thanks Jin.
@@tdodo3026 no problem 😊
I need help😂. I tried to draw pattern, but hood depth is wider than center back, why?
Hood depth can be bigger than the center back. So you can draw a curved line.
@@PatternStudio101 Thank you for your response.😊

I don't understand the neck line seems too much like is it on fold
