Cool feature. I've had v10 for a while now--because older versions wouldn't run on my M1 MacBook Pro. I tried it out on a project right after watching your video. The talent was shot against a whiteboard. I had planned to leave them in a small box, parked in the corner of the slide. The talent was just talking through a PowerPoint deck. Keeping content on the screen was more important than the talking head, in this case. So it worked quite well. As you said, it's far from perfect. But, in the age of sketchy TikTok filters, it seems quite useful to me.

This tool is either almost perfect or it is unusable, and in this case it is rather unusable. May be it would work with a better camera, better lighting, and not a confusing background ... or not. We won't know.
I should have tested the tool with a greens screen. The video wasn’t planned - it was a spur of the moment thing when I upgraded screenflow and noticed the new feature. I suspect that of you use a greens screen the result will be as good as any other solution, because they wouldn’t have rolled out the feature if it wasn’t up to par.
@@theycallmehoz the very few videos I have seen around don't yield an excellent result ... but yes, a simple, plain and contrasting background seems necessary for a minimum efficiency. I think anyway that having a talking bust inserted in an image looks weird
