If you take apart your stock servo saver and remove the spring you can fill in the spring cavity with some RTV silicone. Reinstall the spring and snap the servo saver back together. Let the silicone cure overnight. Almost free mod and it gives the saver a much stiffer feel but still has some give for those bad landings and hard impacts.
Hey Tyler ! , Awesome and thanks for the tip ill give that a ago soon and report back buddy . Keep the tips coming if you have some . Stay awesome Chris :)
how do you take the stock saver apart? i tried the kimber servo saver and still having the same problems. id like to try filling the og saver with grease but dont wanna break it taking it apart.
Hey there ! , Thanks for the kind words and watching the video , As you say this is a essential upgrade for the 3s and 4s trucks it gives tons more of a positive driving experience . Stay awesome Chris :)
My KP 124 arrived in the mail yesterday. Will be installing it in my brand new Kraton 4s V2.5 in a day or two. Thanks for the 'how-to' videos. Keep 'em coming. 🤙
Hey Joe ! ( In my best Hendrix impression lol )ruclips.net/video/rXwMrBb2x1Q/видео.htmlsi=AFr2m45zK98njAGc , Yeah there great if you have the time to mold them in to place properly which trucks are you running yours in buddy ???? Stay awesome buddy Chris :)
Hey buddy , sure will as I said I’ve had this on all my 3s and 4s trucks and they have turned way better since fitting . Can’t understand why Arrma are still fitting them to the trucks ! Stay awesome and thanks for watching Chris 🤙🤙🤙
Hey there buddy So glad you made it ! welcome to my channel really do appreciate the kind words . Congratulations on the typhon 3s ( check out my Arrma 3s playlist ) . Stay awesome buddy Chris :) PS any questions let me know i try to get back to all my comments.
Thanks buddy Ive got a few laying about I’ll give this a go and report back for you 🤙 If all goes according to plan I’ll record a video and give you a shout out buddy Chris 🤙🤙🤙
As always awesome vid, detailed and easy to follow for new comers! Perfect stuff. And damn! Congrats on the manufacturer contacting you, alot of youtubers contact them first so damn nice mate well done! Up up and away! (The Prodigy song) needs to be applied haha ❤❤
Hey man , thanks so much for the support sure does mean everything that you guys are coming along for the ride for sure . And so glad this video was helpful to you . Stay awesome Chris 🚀🤙👊🤩🛻🇬🇧🏴🇺🇸🇧🇪
Well explained Chris. Cheers for the mention. Yes I can also confirm that this is a bit of a must do mod and it does transform the steering (although I did use that Hot Racing one in the end). I didn't really have an issue with my 3s cars but the huge tyres on these 4s ones are too much for that stock servo saver. I am a bit tempted to get the 4s Kraton to go alongside my Outcast although I'm trying not to spend much money 😬. Cheers for now 😁👍👍
Hey Pete buddy , Thanks so much for the support really does mean alot . Thanks for letting the guys know and verify what i said buddy. Hmmm yeah not massively essential with the 3s trucks but hey in for the penny and in for the pound ! , As you say the 4s trucks weight is a complete disadvantage with the standard servo savers . Hey buddy i really think you will love the Kraton , ive got to say ive fallen in love with mine , this new differential has made the truck feel amazing in the corners and give you some slip and tuning capabilities . Go on treat yourself you know your worth it my friend . Keep up the amazing work your my Yoda ! Stay awesome Chris :)
its more to do with the slack in the steering with the stock servo saver buddy . Doing this upgrade with make the steering alot more positive . Stay awesome Chris :)
thanks for this. I just ordered my K4S and it is now in transit. I am new to the RC hobby and this really helps. I appreciate your contents, been watching most of your videos everyday now. just wanted to ask, this Servo Saver does it come with sizes? I saw one from our local shop says 25T and it's aluminum. is this the same with the one you have demonstrated? it says for Traxxas but the scale is for 1/10. looking forward for you response. Cheers!
Hey there buddy , So sorry for the late reply ! Thanks so much firstly for the kind words means alot , As for the servo saver your wanting the Kimbourogh Large Servo saver , the link is in the description for you . Hope this helps , Stay awesome Chris :)
Absolutely a very cheap upgrade and it makes so much of a difference to the way it runs . Thanks for all your support and pushing me on with the journey . Stay awesome Chris 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
So I did this mod to my Kraton v2.5 as well. It is SO much better in terms of steering, but unfortunately the servo saver has some slop. So you either have to deal with a sloppy servo saver that actually allows you to turn, or use the stock one that has no slop but the steering sucks. It seems there’s no perfect solution. However I will say that this mod is super easy and well worth it, even with the slop. Shell out 9 dollars and you can actually steer your Kraton.
Thanks so much for the kind words sure does mean a lot for sure 👌 Hope you enjoy all the content and plenty more to come , Stay awesome Chris 🚀🤙👊💪🛻🤩🚀🚀🚀🚀
Just finished replacing the stock servo saver with the KP124. One thing I noticed is that the stock servo saver is much wider than the KP124. Therefore the machine screw holding the stock one to the servo is too long for the upgrade. Had to chop off a good 3/8" at least in order for it to fit the KP124. Not pleased. Was hoping for a smoother transition.
Hmmmmm that should not be the case at all buddy as the Kimbourgh servo saver you need to shave down for it to fit or maybe I’m reading it wrong . Look forward to hearing from you buddy . Stay awesome Chris 🤙🚀🔥🚀🤙🚀🔥
Okay, this is what I meant. The depth, or if you prefer, the thickness of the KP 124 servo saver is much narrower than the stock one. Once the new KP 124 is installed, the machine screw which held in the stock one is too long for the aftermarket item. Not a big deal, but just thought it was worth mentioning. I would send a photo along, but not sure how to on RUclips. Maybe I will send it on the ArrmaForum. (at least you will be able to visualize what I mean) Keep up the good work, Chris...
Hey man , Do it its a awesome upgrade for your 4s Arrma trucks for sure . Really does make hell of a difference in how positive the steering feels . Hope your well jason buddy Chris :)
Hey buddy , use the part from Kimbourgh like I have in the video buddy sure will help loads works great for me . The part number is KP124 Hope this helps Stay awesome Chris 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Hey when adding the servo saver , did you turn the truck on and centre your steering before . it sounds like it needs the endpoints setting also . Ive got a few videos here on the channel that will help. Stay awesome Chris :)

Hey ! Yes i think your right on the size to be honest ive said this a few times they really dont feel like a 1/10th scale at all but hey ho im not complaining as they work great . Man get one there awesome ! i Genuinely mean that feels so fast and nimble . As for the Asuga no man there genuinely a big buggy ! they are a buddy on steroids and seriously well made . Good tip I’ll try that
how do you take the stock saver apart? i tried the kimber servo saver and still having the same problems. id like to try filling the og saver with grease but dont wanna break it taking it apart.
This method only works if you can manage to get the spring back in after you remove it. I've been trying for a week to do so, with no success.
Another servo save that works is an adjustable 1/10 scale axial ryft. Hot Racing makes a good one and you just need to shim up your servo
This is something I’ve done in the past with other Arrma rigs. 100% the best upgrade for Arrma 3s and 4s vehicles. Good job Chris!

Hi, at first I did the same thing, but I think the better solution is to open the servo saver and swap the Kimbrought spring with the Arrma spring
Can servo savers be opened up? Good shout if your suggestion is doable? 👍
There are videos of the "Arrma Servo saver repair" on RUclips
Thanks buddy Ive got a few laying about I’ll give this a go and report back for you 🤙

what you can improve is getting a. larger. screw and with the extra length you install a security nut and your. servo saver will never fail
