I’m a Bimmer guy but watching that last race, I believe the Supra had a disadvantage, Both cars are trying to brake boost (which is hard to maintain a even roll) but the 335i kept creeping ahead. I would love to see a rematch with an even start.
Thank you. The Supra would destroy that 335i from an even start. That undersquare has it's limitations and much of a short stroke. Building a drag engine from an N54 is not feasible. It's cheaper to do this with a 2JZ.

@@jasonscott5778 I'm sorry but I can't agree dude. Let me tell you why, the 2 major reasons are reliability and cost. I'm not knocking the N54's potential. It's legendary. The problem is that if you max out those internals you're going to sacrifice reliability. Vac motorsports sells forged internals, not that the N54 ones are weak, if you're aiming to go above 700hp you're going to have a nightmare with reliability and those upgraded internals cost a lot. You get all these benefits from a base 2JZ. Not to mention better powerband, oversquare engine design, closed deck, major improvements from upgraded cams. TBH cam upgrades on an N54 doesn't really do much. Even if you set the bar to 800hp which is rated for a stock 2JZ, compare how many stock N54 engines would have blown at that number to 2JZ's.

Supra left before the 335 on the first race(not a jump but almost like giving someone a little hit). The 2nd race was a closer leave than the first one so it showed that the 335 was the quicker car.

Love the external camera on the supra with the speed reading. Looks like both cars are doing 60-130 in about 7 seconds, give or take a few tenths. Pretty quick and should give people a good idea of where they stand in the speed game.
First race 335i got a bad start - second race the Supra got a bad start. In all honesty it looks damn near even. Auto vs Manual so you've that back and forth racing that I love! Great work to Auto Glory, enjoyed the extra angle!! 👏🏽🤌🏽🔥
The 335i did not get a bad start on the first race. That was as even as it could've been. The second "race" shouldn't even be considered a race lol. That was clearly and advantage to the bmw. They should've done a third race

Nice 1st race...Should of done 3 runs. The first run was tight, but that Supra top end started to kick in. In the second run, the BMW got a jump on the Supra...BMW driver seemed pretty antsy, wasnt a fair 2nd run IMO.

1st race wasn't bad, supra spun on the start but seemed to pull better on the top end. 2nd race the Bimmer was jumpy and the supra wasn't as hard into the boost on the start, not really a clean race, the fact the supra stopped the pull after the initial jump would lead me to believe the supra is ever so slightly faster than the BMW.
They are both pretty even. And the mk4 Supra platform is a lot older, more developed. I have not seen a 2000hp N54. Probably never will since BMW changes platforms as much as I change underwear.
@@S.Madman they’re very closely matched cars which makes sense with the many similarities they share. I love MKIV Supras…love them. In fact it’s why I fell in love with E92 N54/55 cars and am currently doing a complete build on one. We will certainly see the N54 crack well into the 4 digit range in the next few years as the following grows more and more. There are plenty of shops out there right now who are really starting to build stout N54 long blocks which will handle that power.
I own a 135I and a JZA80 supra , loved the race. this showed how a manual is slower than an auto, I've converted my Supra to th400 3 speed auto. Where the BMW had the edge was every time the Supra had to change gear

I used to watch 1320, bay area, and some similar channels. Too much footage that I don't care about. If you guys start featuring everything on the regular and grow your brand. You could be the next 1320. Recommendation? More variety of cars. Keep them 500+ HP, but more japanese cars, exotics and let's see some more 1/2 mile roll GOATS: GTR, Lambo, R8, viper etc. I mean more 1000, 1500, 2000hp up in there too. As a n54 owner and proud one a that....(see PP) that second race was sus...GRANTED if it was side by side the n54 would won still because the supra never caught up...not even a lil bit, it would be different if the supra was marginally catching up, but the gap kept growing.
First race the supra was ahead at top end before he let off. 2nd race even though the 335i jumped a little the supra was not pulling any closer anyway. Both cars are pretty close if the supra driver can shift faster too.

Before the supra on e30 was running 24 psi like the n54. Now that the supra is on e85 is he running more timing or did he turn up the boost? He's a lot faster if that's timing alone.
Not sure on timing but boost is more on the e85 tune. Keep in mind even though they have same turbo, they have different compressions. The bmw is higher) So hp per psi is different.

Given it’s a 95 it’s probably lighter and has better aero compared to the bmw however lacks an auto trans so to me the Supra is a bit faster than that n54 bmw which doesn’t say much for bmw much newer. Also both runs were not equal upon starting while the second run was even worse of a gap on the start of at least half car and the go for the bmw. I understand though break boosting while attaining speed consistently is a bit difficult especially when the auto doesn’t slow down for them knowing they have a stick and no anti lag tech just saying.
Am a bmw fan but the bm driver jumped. The count was too fast also if your doing the thing to prove a point at least do it properly fair and legit for the fans that we all may feel pleased with the result deserve a fair rematch.
