A flat blade screwdriver can be a good way to start the seat threading back in.

If the gasket failed in a year, your tub seat (in the manifold) may be damaged and the cause of the split on the gasket.

I replace the valve seat in this video. Is that what you mean by “tub seat”?

Thanks for sharing. How do you know if it's the hot/cold knob?

If your question is how to tell which knob is leaking: Feel the dripping water. If the water is hot, it’s the hot knob. If it is cold, it is the cold knob. I cover this in the video.

If you are going to make a video why dont you speak up so people can hear you? Your voice starts out too low and fades into unintelligibility. Plus you put on this unnatural, stupid accent that some people do when they are being recorded.

Nope, thats just his voice. I just watched the videos that YOU posted. Now I understand why you're being so critical!! The stunning commentary and the dulcet tones of your melodious voice were truly MESMERIZING. Post more! (Or, perhaps just don't be a jerk to people you don't know on the internet.)

Could be a speaker or volume issue on your end. I found the audio to be clear.

Sorry my voice is annoying. I admit I was a little quieter than usual because I dislike plumbing and I wasn’t super excited to make this video. I thought it sounded acceptable as I edited though. I’m more annoyed that I didn’t notice the camera was under exposing a bit due to the white background. Oh well. Hopefully someone learns to fix a faucet despite this video’s shortcomings. That’s all that matters.
