I bet no one's insurance ever went down because they DIDN'T have any hard stops or starts in the last 6 months.
Exactly! Glad my car is from the last century.
Car insurance will automatically go up in the future. If you dont have a "smart car" your insurance will go up, if you do then your insurance will be a bit less but you will have all your data taken. This is currently insurance companies dipping their toes to see how much they can get away with.
hmm. liquer bikes and old beaters lookin real good now. at some point its easier to pay the ticket for not having it when caught.
Surprised there is not a class-action lawsuit going yet.
2:40 "consent" is a very flexible term, i'm sure they threw a eula at him that he didn't read in the first place. and who could?
What's the alternative? Not having a car? In a car dependent society, it's like cutting your legs. If you don't have any other feasible alternatives, then that's as "optional" and "consensual" as "deciding" not to have electricity; technically you can live without it, but your life is going to be unbelievable harder.
nah it's implied and stated in the back of the manual or on some online form you have to seek out. you agree when purchasing.
This is a "real life" situation in which privacy matters and affects directly people's income and protection against accidents. Will finally make people understand the "I have nothing to hide" risk against privacy protection and care? I hope it won't be too late...
I mentioned this in louis rossmans video on the lexis nexis: my 2023 prius says "Crash Imminent" every time i park at home because i park in front of a plant with really big leaves. all the times it has triggered that time while driving have been false positives. There is also a restaurant i frequent which has extremely tight parking spaces, which the very sensitive front sensors always go into the red while im parking. What measures does LexisNexis have in place to filter out all the false positives? are they gonna just overcharge a bunch of people then use that as an excuse to collect even more data?
How does the car transmit the measurements from the sensors? If there is no active SIM card in the media system, does that effectively disable it? Or is there another method?
@@Scranny i believe that you can remove the SIM card and it wont transmit it actively. That's actually what alot of people are doing. but it would probably still save it in its memory. so when you take it to the dealer, and they do a "routine update check" it would probably upload all the telemetry to the manufacturer.
hmm. so thats why the whole cash for clunkers thing happened. yea... ima go rebuild a 40 year old el camino or subaru. fk. them. if my insurance wants to drop me, it'll have to be because i actually fked up or told them to f themself with their spy cam.
I wonder what happens if this is turned on on the vehicle and it's sold on the used car market. Would that data apply to the original owner or could it affect the new owner's insurance without their knowledge or consent.
Thanks!
Aw thank you so much!

Hard braking is considered heart breaking.
Also most likely selling to whomever is buying
Skyhook Holdings, Inc..... sounds like a patent troll. Why the FCKU did the US think it was smart to allow software patents?
Nate, the speed was much better in this video. Thank you.
Thank you, it was very hard for me lol. I'll continue to try to my best to keep it slower like this. -N
@@surveillancereport Nate I really do appreciate it with my hearing issues... I will send some money via Monero when I get a chance to help support the Podcast.
Solution to remove it even reporting needed. Please research for us all.
Apparently Lexus Nexus has never driven in rush hour traffic.
What if instead of we get to because?
Is there any compelling reason to not have the cellular radio physically removed from your car? Seems way better to just rely on a separate phone or tablet.
Luckily still rolling in my old sh1t car
HAH, Caddy drivers are the worst and now he knows why!

You can change your default browser for years. The only thing that has changed is the media coverage.
KeepassXC news is nice, but... are passkeys "something you own" and not "something you know"? Fifth Amendment considerations there.
Android privacy? I don't think so, I don't want my phone connecting to rando Bluetooth devices and using service I pay for. That sounds like a fun ddos vector for all phones with the feature enabled. I doubt its opt in, It obviously sending a location where I have been.
reproductive health lmao
Turn on comment in Odysee or your going to keep getting downvoted.
That's okay
@@surveillancereport By forcing discourse here you are enabling youtub censorship which says volumes about you.
We've had a PeerTube for years.
Only $TSLA can be trusted all others must pay in cash😮. These companies like GM are very crafty and lack transparency on selling clients information while $TSLA uses it only in house with no information sold to any third parties
