Girl.... this is an incredible lesson.... I learned to do things that I can't imagine that I can, but I have a question. How can I erase everything in my QuickBooks and start again from scratch??? I waited through 4 hours of tutorial to learn how to sync with my bank (which she says, at the beginning of the video, is covered) only to find out that they stop the lesson before she gets to that point. Sure, I understand that you're selling your lessons, but if you are in the habit of telling me that I'm going to get something, and then after I've committed, you don't follow through, then I have a hard time trusting anything your doing. I will say, with fairness, that I still found the 4 hour class valuable and informative.

Do I have to create 2 different purchase orders or estimates for each vendor or can I do in one PO. I would like to have one PO for the customer's order. Layman's terms I have 2 suppliers to fulfill one order.

Hello! I like the bank accounts sync feature with QuickBooks Online. I see that the product comparison feature says it's available in Desktop version but may cost extra. Is this true?
Question for anyone: Under deposits Cindy says "You have to make a deposit that matches the actual deposit at the bank" and there is no other mention of taking money to the bank. Are Quickbook deposits actual digital deposits? Let's say petty cash for example, it's sitting in a box and has to be deposited by hand.

Nice tutorial. One beef with QBO is that it misses a basic feature - marking an expense as billable and invoicing it back to a client. You must buy a premium plan with Quickbooks that gives you hundreds of features you don't care about as a freelancer. It's like a ruse - such a basic feature "billable expenses" singled out to push you into a higher plan...
In my case, its useless because the other item which I tried to merge was just transferred to inactive... have you tried to check the inactive product? Still you could find the product there...

Thank you for this tutorial, and the time involved in making it. It's very well laid out, and explained very clearly. The downside is, and this is no fault of yours, I'm about an hour and a half in and realizing how powerful this software is. I've also realized I don't need something this complicated, and I'm in WAY over my head. I just need a spreadsheet solution to record my expenses and income. I've been in business for over 10 years and have to do all the work here, book keeping, quotes, invoicing, packing, labor, bill payment. Quickbooks is supposed to make running a business easier, but I can see now that it's going to make it much more complicated. I'm waiting until the end of the tutorial to make a final decision on this, but it looks like I'm going to try to get a refund on Quickbooks. It's just way too much for me at this time.

For start up you have to add list of your vendors and customers in vendor and customer area with opening balances in this way it will automatically reflect in chart of account as payable and receivables and in future when you receive or pay amount it will show you againt each vendor and customer
For cash purchase We have 2 options 1. Create bill and pay on the same day and this is easy method. 2. Use write check option we use it for cash expense and cash purchase without creating bill. For Drawings You have to create JV Drawing Account Dr Cash Account Cr At the end of the month or when you want to close your accounts Closing entry will be Capital account Dr Drawing Account Cr All drawings will be transferred to capital or equity account. I am struggling with removing credit card pre-authorizations. I just recently purchased a business that used quickbooks desktop 2021 pro plus. We are continuing with the use of it. The company ownership transfer to us made the stored credit cards not usable. I don't see a way to remove the old stored credit card info from the customer account. Can anyone suggest an idea?

I'm waiting until the end of the tutorial to make a final decision on this, but it looks like I'm going to try to get a refund on Quickbooks. It's just way too much for me at this time.
You may need to hire a bookkeeper to help you out.

I have QuickBook Desktop 2021 but my screen does not look like yours at all. I am in a MAC.
How do I add outstanding Accts Rec/Payable balances when setting up my start up Chart of Accts? Would have liked to see a video segment on doing this and how to handle the customer's payment once received - same for paying bills residing in the A/Payable total?Also how to handle cash purchases and cash draws?Otherwise excellent video, thanks Cindy!!!
For start up you have to add list of your vendors and customers in vendor and customer area with opening balances in this way it will automatically reflect in chart of account as payable and receivables and in future when you receive or pay amount it will show you againt each vendor and customer
For cash purchase
We have 2 options
1. Create bill and pay on the same day and this is easy method.
2. Use write check option we use it for cash expense and cash purchase without creating bill.
For Drawings
You have to create JV
Drawing Account Dr
Cash Account Cr
At the end of the month or when you want to close your accounts
Closing entry will be
Capital account Dr
Drawing Account Cr
All drawings will be transferred to capital or equity account.

Will the information that I have from previous version be tranferred to the new version?
I am struggling with removing credit card pre-authorizations. I just recently purchased a business that used quickbooks desktop 2021 pro plus. We are continuing with the use of it. The company ownership transfer to us made the stored credit cards not usable. I don't see a way to remove the old stored credit card info from the customer account. Can anyone suggest an idea?

I have a question. I want to adjust 3 bank feeds against one single invoice. Customer paid us in 3 installments. Quickbooks enterprise says i have to add the balance amount to some other account, how do i do it
