I was very impressed with the owner (Grandson of the founder). He was very quick to give credit to the team members for the success of the company and then you could tell how proud he was of his Grandfather and Dad for the way they designed and built the machinery to make the silos. Very humble which I like.

As someone who knows nothing about these systems or manufacturing, this is strangely interesting. Amy really knows her stuff and it's fascinating to see what work goes into building something the ordinary unaware member of the public would have no idea about. Great stuff Tom!

Great to hear - how many other manufacturers in the UK are there I wonder? It seems a slightly random thing to buy to me, but when you start thinking of all the applications, perhaps not.

I love Tom's visits to manufacturers... And miss them, because it's been a while. He isn't afraid to ask the questions, we may be shy to and wants things explained so a lay person can understand. My favourite was when he watched his very own slurry tanker being built. Like I chatted last time: Pembertons is a great user of local suppliers and many folk have been employed on and off the farm.

Thank you for the interesting tour. Where I've worked they produced cymbals, cigarette tubes, oil valves/wellheads or aircraft, and things are never assembled quite the way a person expects they would. Like the top down construction of a feed bin. I can't believe how fast it was assembled. That's a cool piece of kit and I hope it adds to Pemberton Farms success for a long time.
