    Great video! I personally wouldn't go near the Kamvas Studio. I feel the best option for artists/note takers is using a decent computer/laptop and then connecting a drawing tablet (preferably with a screen) to it. Also if you consider the older iPad Pro models, you could easily purchase a non-M1 iPad Pro and a really good laptop (or the Mac Mini you mentioned) for the price of the Kamvas.

    That's why there are no first day reviews. And I forgot to add Samsung Tab S8 Ultra (14.6-inch) as comparison.

      Seems like they reduce their sending to reviewers things.
      How does it compare to Wacoms MobileStudio? I think it is also interesting to see it be compare to that as well as it is also its competition . It sits in that middle part, where it size is more in line with S8 ultra/ Wacom Mobile Studio with the aesthetic and specs of a Surface Pro? Pen wise probably goes to wacom.
      thank you and it be interesting to see your full review once you get it on hand.

      I can understand the company not wanting to send this because this is so expensive! Even if it's a loan unit, the shipping back will also be so expensive.
      You mean the Wacom MobileStudio Pro? That's a rather old product now with the Intel 8th gen processor. It's now the 12th gen in 2023. And it's so much more expensive so Huion is once again undercutting Wacom here.

      @Teoh on Tech yeah that one. I know its old but a number of artist seems to be looking for an alternative to that - truly though with specwise this is huion win. Also design wise alot more modern.
      Not necessary needed in future review, but maybe a passing mention of this compare to wacom one (even if that's old)
      Thank you again. 😊

    I was Excited as first, but For the specs I don't feel like this is worth it. Maybe in a bubble, but This has the Same Processor as the FIRST Galaxy Book 360 but cost more. $1,500 Galaxybook360 at release (even cheaper now), vs $1,800 for the huion. And the Galaxy book 360 uses Wacom pen tech. Now the THIRD Galaxy book 360 is coming out and has better specs in every way but cost the same as this... Seems like they are following behind Wacom , selling Old generation , dubious quality , Computers for a Upcharged Price. I say dubious quality because they are new to the Tablet Pc space and we don't know how this thing is going to hold up. I really want huion to the Compete in the market and Push on Wacom but their biggest thing was keeping the prices low for a relatively quality product. This is a bit much.

      Exactly my thoughts. I was really planning on getting one, but over here it’s €2299 which is ridiculous for 3 years old technology. The Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 is €100 cheaper, but comes with 1Tb of storage, newest hardware and lots of other things the Kamvas Studio 16 is missing. Still, €2199 is a bit more than I’m willing to spend. I set €1300 aside for the Kamvas Studio 16, considering that to be a fair price. Well, that’s not going to happen, instead I ordered the new Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 Gen 5 AMD 16. For the money set aside,I was able to upgrade to the 2.5k screen with 100% Adobe RGB and a 1Tb SSD. More ports, sd-card slot, newer cpu (yes I realize it’s zen3, but those extra 4 cores are always nice to have), better gpu and a keyboard when needed. I had a Lenovo Miix in the past and was very content with it. Curious to receive it, hopefully in the coming week. Definitely will do a review on my art channel once it arrives.

    Huion needs to make sleeve or cover for this one, to secure on travel and adds value on portability. Or 3rd party accessories. The separate keyboard feels not so simple in that regard. Surface Pro design with keyboard cover wins in this case.
    Also Teoh, line quality test with drawing circle please to compare with the other devices, would be much appreciated 🙏🏼. I found that my Slim Pen 2 drawing circle in CSP is not as accurate compared to Wacom pen/Huion pen from 2021/Apple Pencil 2 I tried. Making round shape freehand is big difference in that. And kinda hassle with SP8. I set the settings, smoothing, refresh rate and everything not satisfied by its own nature to compare. I wish more reviewers try this circle test as well as line jitters. That'd save people a lot.
    Great insight Teoh, keep it up!

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  Год назад

      It should be quite easy to find 16-inch laptop sleeves.
      What do you mean by the circle not being accurate?

    • @qazzranalamry1772
      @qazzranalamry1772 Год назад

      Drawing circle line freehand with slim pen 2 on sp8, with Clip Studio Paint doesn't feel as accurate compared to wacom/huion/apple pencil I tried on clip studio paint with same settings. I work mainly doing neat line art and I feel it doesn't work as more control compared to other brand I tried. Also how the line tapers. Which I think huion pen works better in that compared slim pen 2. That was my personal test after purchase, so just sharing perhaps that'd be an idea in review that'd be helpful. If you find/feel so too.
      As for the sleeve, I figured there are 3rd party available. But that'd be awesome if Huion adds it officially from them in first hand. That'd be great consideration for comfort on travelling. As other brands have official keyboard cover.

      Slim Pen 2 has improved very much from Surface Pen but still not as good as Samsung S Pen and Apple Pencil unfortunately. There is still the slightest of jitter with diagonal lines and sometimes can be seen in curves

    Price is just silly. Theyre asking for no sales at all. My Tab S8 Ultra is the best big screen 2in1 portable ive ever had, and ive owned the 12.9” M2 ipad pro and Surface Pro, still prefer S8 Ultra for Everything. Ipad mini for travel/travel art

    Size, OS and price win for me, so its the Kamvas Studio 16 unless they bring osx to a new 16" iPad pro which i doubt.

  • @MarcialN
    @MarcialN Год назад +1

    Put a 16:10 or even better a 3/2 display and an AMD apu on both of them to make the surface line irrelevant.

  • @kaichidraws7787
    @kaichidraws7787 Год назад +2

    comparatively speaking it still cheaper than its competitor and larger area. If the surface 2022 is 16" it probably be a lot more expensive. OTH it still PRETTY EXPENSIVE ;A; unaffordable even... .
    If you're fav software lives on windows / linux , very very limited choices. I categorize this as semi- portable. Portable enough that it can be hauled like a laptop, can be used like a laptop but can function like a tablet.
    in this IPAD Pro [last gen is a more reasonable option/ that is if you are fine with the software there - which with procreate/csp/ ps is good - though outside of procreate that subs adds up]

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141  Год назад +2

      I thought it was quite expensive initially. But after comparing with SP8 and SP9, the price seems competitive, and the display is much larger and is matte textured. The flickering display issue with Surface Pro always seems to be a risk.

    • @kaichidraws7787
      @kaichidraws7787 Год назад

      @Teoh on Tech when i saw the price, i thought thats way more expensive. Comparison wise, it's pretty competitive + included stuff and larger matte screen. I just realized how expensive all of these devices are.

  • @benjamina6915
    @benjamina6915 Год назад

    Under no circumstance, this is a good option. The comparison to the Surface and iPad Pro is understandable, but an odd choice. The Galaxy Book2 and 3 Pro 360, Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 and such are a way better comparison, since they have 16” models. The Huion Kamvas Studio 16 is using outdated hardware, it lacks ports, an sd-card slot and a real 16” screen. The new Samsung Book3 Pro 360 is less expensive, offers the latest cpu, double the storage, sd-card slot and plenty of ports. Can’t believe they’re even asking what they do for something that is so limited and outdated. I was really looking forward to it, but not paying €2299 (yes, that’s the European price) for this. After some comparison I decided to order the new Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 Gen 8. €1000 less, it offers so much more and even allows for some customization. Sorry Huion, I like your products and own several , but I’m not paying tomorrow’s prices for yesterday’s technology. If this would have been priced around €1200, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

      I consider those 360 foldable laptops as a different product category and not exactly a tablet. Personally, I don't like having the keyboard folded to the back.
      Perhaps that does not matter here since this Huion is 1.7kg and won't be used as a handheld tablet anyway.
      Another comparison I left out is the Samsung Tab S8 Ultra which has a 14.6-inch display which is also much larger than the Surface Pro.

    • @benjamina6915
      @benjamina6915 Год назад

      @@teohontech7141 yes, I understand that you could consider them a different category. Personally I don't since many creatives use them for the same purpose as the Kamvas Studio 16 or Surface Pro.

      @@felixqin2391 stylus technology isn’t expensive. I’ve got various Huion products which are priced very reasonable. I’m guessing you bought one of these right away, because it’s so affordable?
