Given that there are significant opposing positions on abortion, it is too bad we couldn't come to a reasonable comprise. Oh, wait - we already did that with viability. The GOP needs to learn that they can't have everything their own way. Fighting over settled law only impedes the common goal of reducing unwanted pregnancy. The over-reach is going to backfire.
The people that are pro-death need to watch an abortion video before offering opinions. You got Internet and Google. I would recommend that you prepare yourself before watching......its horrific.

I've asked God for forgiveness and I accepted Him as my personal Savior when I was 6 1/2 years old. As long as I have Christ in my Heart and have a personal relationship with Him my Salvation is secure. The only thing that I would have to do is denounce Him, to lose my Salvation, which I will never do. I'm saved, I'm going to heaven and nobody can make me feel otherwise, and anyone that says otherwise is just a lie from the pit of h3ll to make me doubt my Faith. But sure, tell me why I will be left behind?

"Protect Life" is incredibly generic and thus incredibly ineffective. "Protect Babies" would get right to the point of who needs to be protected. Please learn from the total failure in Ohio and start using a Babies First strategy.

@@michaellindenmuth9446 I understand where you're coming from, but every argument that has ever been made as to why abortion is necessary has been debunked over and over again. It's not medically necessary for health, because you can medically stop a pregnancy without intentionally killing the child first (through induced delivery, which is proven to be safer for the mother). Abortion is known to make women significantly more vulnerable to breast cancer, fertility issues, and pregnancy complications/death in future pregnancies. It's also known to endanger the health of your future children and increase the likelihood that they'll have health problems or be stillborn. And crazily enough, the data shows that women who have had abortions are a 144% more likely to abuse their other children. It's not necessary for mental health, because data has shown that abortion does not improve mental health, it actually worsens it. It is not necessary to ensure that a woman can raise her other children, because newborns and infants are guaranteed immediate adoption in the US domestic infant adoption system. It is not necessary for parents who don't want to be parents, because, again, guaranteed newborn adoption. It's not necessary to heal rape victims, because the data has also shown that abortion doesn't improve the mental health of rape victims, it actually worsens it, and the majority of rape victims who have aborted reported regretting their abortions (78%). And the list goes on and on and on. It's not necessary to lower maternal mortality, because the data has shown that better access to adequate healthcare is what determines mortality rates, not abortion access. So, we're at a point in society, where despite knowing all this data, we are killing just for killing's sake. We're killing for convenience and comfort, simply because we can. And generations of women have been deceived by an industry that profits off of the killing of their unborn children. And every year, the bodies of 73 million unborn children across the globe are either 1) ripped to pieces with a vacuum or a metal clasping tool, 2) starved to death and then forcibly expunged and usually flushed down the toilet, putting abortive chemicals into our water supply 3) have their hearts injected with a drug that will cause them to go into cardiac arrest so that they can be delivered dead, 4) are partially delivered before having their heads stabbed into and having their brains sucked out, 5) or are delivered but then are intentionally not given any medical care so that they will die a slow death. And all this is done at the expense of women's health, not in favor of it.

Scotty - Pregnancy is dangerous for the pregnant person. The reward is only worth the risk, when you want a child.

Not having children is "playing god" too. Having one child, prevents millions of other sperm-egg combos from being born, so that is also "playing god."

nothing in life comes without risk. There's always a chance that someone can die everyday. Our days are numbered, so how is abortion gonna fix that? Abortion simply gives us the opportunity to play God, taking away a life, that is not ours to take. The only plausible exception for killing someone would be for self defense. So you're saying that an unborn Life that is growing inside the mother, because it needs her nourishment to grow, breathe, and eventually live outside the womb is selfish of that Baby? What, now we gonna have to put a law through that states an unborn child needs to ask for permission to enter a woman's body, and if the mother doesn't give consent then that unborn Child has to pay the price and be slaughtered for it!
You do know that every child before they're born is up until a certain point uncapable of living outside the womb, right. Not just the ones that aren't wanted.

Not getting pregnant is denying the right to life for trillions of possible children. Having children, prevents all the other sperm-egg combos from visiting earth temporarily. Still playing god.
. Oh and Abortion doesn't? Abortion is Murder, murder denies that person, born or unborn their lawful right to life. So what is the difference? Not getting pregnant in the first place is a much safer and smarter choice. Abortion shouldn't be used as birth control, when we already have contraception to prevent it. It's safer to use contraception than to get an abortion. Using a condom or diaphragm isn't the end of the world.
