Recent studies indicate that Millennials are more pro-life than previous generations. Why is this generational shift happening? What are the options today to reduce abortion? Will a Trump/Pence administration defund Planned Parenthood? As we approach the 44th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, could the Supreme Court overturn it? Explore these topics and more as we welcome Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life, to Colorado Christian University.
Kristan Hawkins is the president of Students for Life of America (SFLA). Since launching SFLA’s full-time operation, Kristan has more than quadrupled the number of campus pro-life groups in the U.S., from 181 to over 1,030 in 50 states. Today, SFLA is the only pro-life organization with full-time team members around the nation. In addition, they host the nation’s largest pro-life conferences in Washington, D.C. and in San Francisco each January.
Kristan and her team also have launched many initiatives such as Women Betrayed, Medical Students for Life, and Pregnant on Campus, a transformative initiative that connects young women on campus with the resources they need to choose life and stay in school. As President, Kristan directs the mission and strategy of SFLA and is the organization’s official spokeswoman. She has appeared on Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, EWTN, and the Christian Broadcasting Network. Her work and passion for the preborn has been profiled on ABC News Nightline and she has been featured in numerous national outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, TIME Magazine, National Review Online, the Washington Times, and TheBlaze. Kristan is the author of "Courageous: Students Abolishing Abortion in this Lifetime." Actually a person who went in to a planned parenthood clinic here in the US actually went in and told them she wanted to Abort her baby because she wanted a girl and not a boy. They didn’t know she was actually pretended that she was pregnant and she had a camera on her and recorded everything. They said ok fill out some forms and we will take care of this for you.

From an Atheist, anti abortion perspective, in regards to the 'personhood' question. (to me, a ludicrous position to be against and unneeded argument to make, but sadly here we are nonetheless).
As Kristan said, we know that a human life begins at conception (i can get very specific but it should not be needed). Addendum: As does every single form of multi cellular life that we know of.
A potential question to ask the pro abortionists.
Barring unfortunate circumstance, If the young human (embryo, foetus, whatever) is allowed to develop, what will it become? Answer: A person.
Therefore, ending the existence of this young human (embryo, foetus, whatever) is ending the existence of a person.
While i do recognise that there are those that will refuse to even entertain this extraordinarily simple concept, it will make an impact upon those that might be 'on the fence', for want of better phrasing.

My understanding is that the pro-life objection to abortion is based on the grounds that this is killing an innocent human being. While different pro-lifers have different positions on the following, many pro-lifers support killing innocent people in some contexts. For example, war. Some people with pro-life positions on abortion say that war is sometimes necessary despite the fact that innocent people are killed, such as civilians. Or, they support political leaders who support war if such political leaders oppose abortion. Yet, why do these pro-lifers not also take such a relativist position to terminating a pregnancy? If there are justifiable reasons to have war even though innocent people are killed, why wouldn't women also have justifiable reasons to terminate a pregnancy?
Because a woman killing her very own child shouldn't be normalized.

Rather, my post was about calling out a paradox where many pro-lifers take a relativist position on war in which they look at it in context and justify the killing of innocent people in some cases. This includes children.
War should only occur for defense purposes against a perpetrating country to ensure the safety of it’s own citizens. Abortion isn’t about self defense.
The goal of a moral military is to eliminate the enemy's capacity to continue engagement. Nothing to do with killing innocents.
