Great walk Carrie. Like you, I often struggle with my motivation levels on grey and gloomy days. Still, the oystercatchers and cool suspension bridge were proper rays of sunshine 🌞.

When I worked at a local college I was in their walking group and Reeth was always a favourite walk. Not been for about almost 20 years so I need a return visit/hike, especially as it is less than an hour away from home. Good on you for getting out, not the best weather for a fair weather walker like me and I do not remember a cairn on Maiden Castle, or that suspension bridge either but it was so long since I was there - I do remember The Black Bull mind :o).
