Subscribe and hit the bell notification 🔔 to be notified when the next episode drops (If you want). I'll be taking on the Yorkshire coast, going on an emotional roller coaster and sleeping in a graveyard amongst other things. Thanks for watching mate. Also big up Neil and everyone in the fire service for the tireless and heroic work they do 🫡
Come on Haze I think it’s time for you to to the best and toughest walk in UK the South west coastal walk, 630 miles starting in Minehead Somerset, into North Devon, I believe the toughest part, onto Cornwall around lands end back into south Devon meet me for a drink in Torbay onto Dorset and the finish line. Now that’s a walk. Would make a brilliant multi part series.
you always make me laught out load.
The "How do" conversation.
Tell me you've got ADHD without telling me you've got ADHD.
100% relatable for me 🤣
I was worried for you with the sunstroke, then you started talking to fence posts and I knew you were alright!
Did you send me a monthly giveaway message buddy as I wasn't sure it was you or not
You and a few other RUclipsrs have inspired me, at the ripe old age of 66, to take up wild camping. Did my first last night (bivvy) and really enjoyed it, apart from lugging the cheap, overfilled (11.5kg) rucksack! Good to listen to the owls and barking deer (muntjac??) though.
Great series, Hazey, and I always look forward to the next instalment.
They make a horrendously intimidating noise, if you've never heard them before, don't they!?
you're as young as the woman you feel
You're pack weight should ideally be 1/5 th of your body weight. Mine's 25 kg!!
@@James-gf9jl too heavy by far
10 kg is MAX for rucksack, otherwise too heavy
I genuinely had tears in my eyes at 27:45 with the 'ow do story, nose running and everything🤣
Same
The “how do?” anecdote cracked me up mate 🤣🤣
It was a real low point
I have really gained so much knowledge about the UK from watching your channel I live in Northern California so to be honest I never thought that it was so vast with as much wild land as you have shown throughout your videos and the Great Trails you have as well I have gained some wonderful knowledge from you and your honesty Which I truly do appreciate I wish you continued happiness and lasting enjoyment in your travels through life God Bless you and yours
Won't be home to midnight, got work at 5am but you know I'm watching this before I get some sleep later. Already smashed the like button because we know it's good without watching.
Thanks mate!
@@HazeOutdoors You have to do a walk past in the videos, if not your slacking and slacker don't reach their destination. Actually on the walk past you could even put a little quote about life and its journeys.. I like little mind fillers
Still laughing with the ‘How do’…..I know exactly what you mean 😁
Good to meet and share my water with you.
Terry from Harrogate here, just noticed you mentioned me. It was a cracking day to be out.
Wonderful stuff mate! You really did save me that day. Thanks again! What a cracking adventure
Been following your journey since slurping shenanigans with sling shots and can I say the ‘how do’ monologue is up there as some of the best. Full on belly laugh at the heat stroke self deprecating commentary. Haze you bring sunshine to the dark creases of the soul. Much love and respect .
“Lolly pop lad been on T mushies “ ha ha ha ha ha , cracking 😂😂
Love your 'Ow do' tale.....classic!!
Pazzing myself laughing at the 'how do's.
Also, I can't get enough of 'medic!'. It is an absolutely brilliant humorous trademark.
As always - brilliant to watch. Thanks for the inspiration, the laughs and total honesty. 👍
You have this quirky humour that just makes me cuckle and smile, also your giving me the inspiration to get out and explore. Great content! 👍 MEDIC
I was pissing myself at certain points. Im deffo on this channel fir hazey👍
@@stuarnold8659 amen to that 🙏 🙌
Ditto,,, Medic,,
how do hazey. . been a long time subscriber & always enjoy your videos, but this is my first comment, feeling compelled to sympathise with the ole adhd brain, ive tried and failed so many times to explain this thought process but you nailed it completely. i too have to retreat away fast from heights and edges ,Same with any water too, my adhd brain wants to chuck me in! 😂
25:25 it's very common, it's called "the call of the void" or " l'appel du vide" - the overwhelming urge to do something incredibly self destructive ... Like diving out of a moving car, jumping off a cliff, throwing your phone into a river etc.
Bizarre but extremely fascinating. Look it up. 👍
I was about to comment this 😅 I've heard it evolved as your brain's way of sort of checking in with yourself, sort of like 'I could jump, but I won't, so it's alright'
@@EcoCurious Yeah I've read similar. Like a way of confirming that you don't actually want to destroy yourself, in a weird way. It's all very fascinating.
I get exactly this too. Thought it was just me. Thanks for sharing 😁
I used to play in a band called The Void..........
For a minute there fella thought you was guna start chugging out of one of the vases in the graveyard 🤣🤣🤣
“Junk feels like road kill” “medic” classic Haze - awesome
Haze! Throwing yourself over the edge, that's Edgar Allan Poe's ' imp of the perverse'. I always get that when walking past a fast flowing river... Hmm I wonder what it would be like to be under that water? 🤔. Great vid btw, you're back on form 👍🏻😁🥰
27.47 Dude u had me in tears laughing. I have done that so many times. My brain trips over itself lol.... comes out in gibberish. Hilarious
Watching from Portugal. I've found your channel a couple days ago and I've gone thru many of your videos.
In the past I've tapped out on different phases of a 110 mile trail run I'm trying to finish, for 5 years in a row. I know it's because I haven't had the mental strength to endure the hardship of the low points.
You are an inspiration Paul. I think I will get it next time, having your outdoor adventures in the background of my mind.
Thank you for leading by example.
Thanks
That's very kind mate thank you so much
Loved that Hazy lad 👌👌👍👍
Howww gooo! 😂 😂 Absolutely loved this trilogy! Great job Hazy! Stay safe mate
Nobody begrudges you a comfy bed, Hazey lad. You've earned it!
Crack on!
As always, a super vid. Thank iiu.
A sun hoody beats the sun!!!
Wow! Looks like a challenge and a half in this year’s heat!
The French call it 'l'appel du vide' the impulse to throw yourself into a void. It's fairly common. Great vid man 👌
Nice and also interesting content. Thank you. 👍😉
Loving following along with this adventure. Thanks for carrying us with you, it's a nice insight into how tough and rewarding these things can be.
We had a similar sort of sunset here in lancs a couple of weeks ago. It was a colour I'd literally never seen the sun before... like completely red... not orangy-red, just pure red. It was absolutely stunning.
Superb hazey, knew a guy with no legs his name was Neil aswell. All the best haze👍🏻🏴👍🏻🏴👍🏻🏴
"How do"! That made me laugh. I've had the same as I've met others and attempted to greet them and its gone wrong. It's made worse if you live in different areas when general greetings differ from what you might have used years previously and becomes a combination of all of them.🤣
Hurrah.....I won on Hazeys giveaway👏
Thank You Haze! 🌀💚🌀
How goo, lollipop lad 😂. Brilliant stuff mate!
Such a trooper Haze. I love watching your journeys. Such great content.
bloody great content. love how you can entertain yourself on your hikes.
Come on with part four I need something to watch while I’m away in Scotland hahaha keep up the good work love it !!
🏕🏕🥾🥾🥾🪵🪵🪵🔥🔥
I watch your channel because I love listening to you, sharing your journeys, both in the physical world & the spiritual. Peace & love, friend 👍🏿
Compulsory watching every time you post so thank you …
Such an enjoyable series to watch, you always rise up the obstacles. Awesome respect. 👍
You were right about the heat wave. Ninety nine percent of Britain was indoors with curtains closed and fans going full blast.
I was close to become a pork scratching 🥵
THANK YOU Hazey. My son his hiking in the mountains and it is reassuring to know he has watched all your teachings.
Old enough to be your Granny, Dorset girl, living in France🇲🇫🇬🇧
Get in. Been really looking forward to part three. Loving this series as much as the Highland hike (previous favourite). You're a real inspiration man. Keep on keeping on.
rigth enjoyed seeing familiar ground ... and someone else suffering in the sun lol . . perfect lunch in Skelton :)
What a fantastic view.
I don t get out much nowadays.
Thank you x
Great video mate, so glad this heatwave is over, roll on Autumn and lovely cooler weather.
Top boy geez keep it moving… good vids👍🏻🍻
Nice one me owd cocka. Looking forward to Pt4 🤙
Howdoken should be on one of you T-shirts. Love it. RYU with a flat cap
Nice one fella from Harrogate 💦💧
Been waiting for this 3rd part and thoroughly enjoyed it. You’ve got some determination and amazing how you managed to keep the good craic going all the way.
And I can’t get enough of the “MEDIC” calls!😂
I think Ha-Goo should be the catch phrase for your channel from now on! Great video as always!
Up there with the coast to coast series this! Loving it! ❤️ glad you seem happy creating again!
Thanks mate! I’m feeling pretty good at the moment so you’ll soon be sick of seeing me 🙃🙂
@@HazeOutdoors I am an OG and been following from the early days of woodland camps to seeing you enjoying camping and putting out good content makes me smile. Keep doing what your doing and hope it doesn't end like Neighbours has ...sad times
You know we're in for an epic Hazey adventure when at the end of the day, he consults mapashango/maphew mcconaughey to trace his steps and plan his next route.
This video put a smile on my face 😂
Really enjoyable series - cheers!
Love these videos, with twins under two I haven't got the opportunity to do these longer hikes atm, so I live vicariously through you!
What a legendary guy you are.pure inspiration
I ve cycled around the Moors, you can see a bit more walking.
Fantastic 👍
Brilliant series
My back yard… you should have made the detour to Roseberry Topping and dropped down into Newton Under Roseberry. Filled up on cake and coffee (maybe a pint) in the Kings Head.
Bought a few beers today in hope, that’s my viewing sorted tonight!🍻 👍
Cheers 🍻
How-goo Hazey. Great stuff mate
Hell of a shift brother !!!
Thanks, again Mr. Haze. Loved it. 👍🙂🏕️😘
Great to see you back mate, great watching so far but go steady, do t scramble the noodle for our sake. My brain also says jump off the edge.
Looking forward to the next one dude. Stay safe
hooowww gooooooo lovin the series
Difference between normal Hazy Banterman and Robin banter and post-heatstroke mutterings = ? Love it all- keep it coming mate!
Another lovely wander along the way with you Haze, Thank you 🙏 I’m also glad it’s not just me who get’s that overwhelming urge to jump off edges, not in a suicidal way. We crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and all I wanted to do was climb over the barrier and fall into the sea……just because…..
I live on Dartmoor so those wild fires were terrible to see as we also get them in the summer and mainly where people have been careless. Thoughtless & unnecessary, especially dangerous with peat and gorse as you say it can smoulder underground for weeks. Wise words of “just don’t bother with fire”. Look forward to next epi!
Mind soup sounds like me after working on my Treehouse yesterday (1pm-5:30pm), I said to the couple I came across on the way home "You're the first humans I've seen all day!"
Sat here contemplating life and here’s Uncle Haze 🥳 cheers mate
Big ups
Ey up mi duck, the feeling you described of having the feeling of wanting to jump off the cliff, I had the exactly same feelings the first time I walked down to Durdle Door. Crazy sensation xx
Feeling the same about edges. You are not alone 😁 . Great vid !
“Hallgoo!” 😝
Great banter! 😆 How Goo.
Brilliant mate
The Sarah Lee of RUclipsrs, feature length eyeball cake too. Get in.
My home town saltburn, love the videos
Always a joy
Another great video, we've enjoyed watching your journey. Looking forward to the next. Amazing how great your attitude was after describing how you felt that night from the heat. How you got through that must have been intense. Lots of love and cheers from the Colorado Macleans
Im constantly doing that 'how do?' thing..ive done 'Gank Than', 'Goood than' and plenty of derivatives. Keep it up Uncle Hazo..
Last.
Cleveland way is mint,I drank from that puddle near the grouse shooting thingys
😂
"Loads of chicken, pepper... green shit" 😂
Really enjoy these mate. Gets me hyped for going on a walk
Great work hazy, bit gutted you didn’t call a medic in the graveyard though 🙃
Been watching you for roughly 3 year love the context mate
I have actually explored all the trials at the end of the video
Can't wait for the next video haze and we don't be mind a bit of waffling on your so funny and cool peace and love from 1 leg UK England
Nice Haze
You'd have loved that cafe at Kildale mate, chaffinches, Robins etc eating off the tables.... "nearly outa my hand"..
Gutted it's closed
@HazeOutdoors1 Dunno how to "reach out " to you mate? 🙈
Apparently quite a few Yew trees in graveyards predate the churches (>1500 years old). The theory is that pagans used Yew trees as shrines .. then when Christianity came over, churches were built next to existing religious sites - as per the instructions of pope Gregory in 601ad. Pretty cool.
Hazey, you don’t half make me chuckle mate, howgoo, 🤣.
Excellent vlog tho, really enjoy your info n banter
About to put feet up and enjoy this one mate, looks like those Damon Hills have been taking it out you 🥵 Hope you had a great time Hazy!
100k! Yes mate.
Another inspirational video. Great to see you can recall a nightmares day hiking with a smile but still getting across the pain. Well done from another Yorkshireman!
My brain does the same thing near big drops, glad I'm not alone. 😄
You are amazing and you talk just like me watched you for years xxx John from hull x forecast a little bit hazy x
Howlgoo to you too 😁
Spontaneous Neologisms are the best ones
11:50 … some good wisdom
You have my sympathy 😥 (and respect for keeping going) with your chafing,.... then all that was quickly forgotten and I was peeing with laughter at your 'How do' scenario 🤣
