- I have lots of the small pots of Cosmic Shimmers and I use them in lots of ways, but using them to watercolour with gives a lovely shimmery effect to your cards and is well worth trying.
Arteza now have a large range of Mica Powders.
Beautiful! I never use my Mica powders so thank you for showing me a wonderful way to get them out again! What a stunning finish they make! You are a fantastic teacher!
This is a very beautiful card. I too, never thought of using my mica powders this way this way. I love teal. Thank you, Christina.

Hi Christina, love your demos especially showing how to paint with mica powders. I bought some a couple of years ago but never knew what to do with them so will be getting them out as nice summery colours x
Hi Christina, Ive just read about a ladycomplaining about the music you play when you are demonstating.I love tne music, its very soothing and helps me to concentrate.I love all your cards.Brenda.xx
Thank you Brenda ... I can't please all the people all the time and the majority enjoy the music and tell me ... and so they are the ones that I try my best for you. I have explained on many occasions why the music is there as there is road and airport noise and children playing in my neighbourhood and I am sure that nobody would want to hear my neighbour shouting her kids in for tea !! So I am glad that you and many others find the music relaxing ... that was my aim and my "Film Crew" (hubby) edits the music lower each time I speak so as not to interfere Huhs to you Cxx
I also love making cards, but yours are so so so professional and beautiful! Truly inspiring. I'm definitely getting a lot of ideas from your page
As usual, a beautiful and creative card. I had not seen this technique before, thank you,!
Very nice....also thanks for easy to follow instructions on making the bow. I will look for more of your videos.
Thanks for this I bought these years ago and have never used them because I forgot what to do with them so thanks again. ❤️❤️❤️
Love this! Thanks for sharing!
Lovely card, thank you for the demonstration.
What a fabulous demo! Thank you !
Beautiful 👏👏
Thank you so much for this great video! I finally know how to make a bow!!! :)
@bjwlsn1 ... yes you can but I haven't eaten all these pies.... you can buy the foil dishes in the supermarket and they are really cheap. I use them to heat the embossing powder in when I want to enamel the roses and the are handy for other thing too.
WOW beautiful card
The card is beautiful!
Beautiful card!
The music is necessary as it drowns out all manner of noise outside my house.... and as I had to buy the piece for just such a purpose then I am sorry if it irritates you ... but it stays
I am new &I love it
Love it!
Beautiful
I noticed that you did not use a static cling cloth before stamping your image; it is not necessary with mica powders? Thank you for your video.
gorgeous card I want to make this one
LOVE THIS VIDEO, THANKS.
Beautiful ... :)
very pretty,tfs..
So the mica powders will just stick to whatever with just water?
Just as I show you in the video Cxx
lovely please keep it up thank u
Beautiful cards and my favourite colours. I'm looking for a new die cut machine I'm thinking of the Crossover 11. What do you think of it?
I don't know this machine so I cannot comment on it. I use the larger Spellbinders Platinum and I have had mine for years. Cxx
@@ChristinaGriffiths you can see it with Nancy Watts on Create & Craft tv I dont know how to share it within youtube . Its sbout 6yrs old
I know that its been a very long time since you made this video, but this is the first time i have seen it. If your still taking comments, I would like to ask a quick question. You painted the card with water and mica powder. You don't need to add a finish to it? The mica powder doesn't dry up and fall off? I have never used mica powder but own a ton of it and honestly don't know what to do with it.
Hello ... Mica powder usually needs something to bind it otherwise it will dust off and in this case I have added water to it to make a paste. That is enough to bind the powder for this card. When you use powder and apply it with the brush in the kit then you may need to use a separate binder and in that case a cheap hairspray works really well Cxx
@@ChristinaGriffiths
Brilliant! The cheap hairspray mixed in with the water right?
I wonder if this would work with eyeshadow pigment.
Lovely, I only wished you showed us how to make the little flower out of the ribbon.
+dutch land There is a video that shows you how to make the ribbon roses here is the link for you ... www.card-making-magic.com/ribbonrosetutorial.html
+Christina Griffiths Thanks so much, I actually just found that video on youtube. You are so sweet to comment so quickly. What a nice lady and talented crafter you are
+dutch land Stop that you will make me blush Cxx
Do you need to use a bonding agent?
The water holds the mica together because it is now paste and not a powder. Cxx
Does the mica powder rub off?
It has been mixed with water which acts as the binding agent Cxx
Is that real gold of rake gold
Water with mica powder.??
Just as I show in the video Cxx
I really appreciate your teaching demos. You make beautiful cards. You are a true artist!
Can you please not play that irritating music in the background. It plays the same musical notes over + over. You play this music in every video demo.
I want to learn from your videos and hear everything you are saying! The music is not necessary when you are doing a teaching video.Thank You again for sharing!
