Beautiful Romantic Polymer Clay Pendant With Mica Powder Painting Technique

- In this video, I show you how you can easily and quickly make wonderful jewelry using the mica powder painting technique.
For the mica powder techniques, I recommend FIMO polymer clay, which preserves the colors and contours nicely. With Premo polymer clay, I found that the result is similar to the blurring of women's makeup... That's why I always use FIMO clay for mica powder.
I hope you will be inspired to use this simple technique.
Have a nice and creative day,
Agi

I have watched this video several times. I showed my mom. She use to make polymer clay jewelry back years ago. She felt the same way about this pendant.
I have everything but the cool tool which I am ordering tonight.
It’s just beautiful.

Love it ! Very inspiring.............what color clay did you use?
Thank you very much! 😍 I used "FIMO Effect" metallic gold colored clay. 🙂
Wow.... it's really amazing! Thank you. Very useful for beginners like me. I want to ask you where I can buy the metal findings
Thank you very much! The choker can be purchased here
www.aliexpress.com/item/32889350591.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef1802Jn3pk1
I bought the glue bail in a hobby shop here, but I think you can also get it on AliExpress.
Just beautiful, thanks for sharing. I tried to go to the link you provided for Lisa Pavelka Magic Glos, unfortunately the site could not be reached
Thank you very much 🙂 Unfortunately, the availability of products online is constantly changing. Try the links below, these are available.

This is beautiful! How do you attach the bail to the back, with glue?
Thank you very much. Yes, I used the "Loctite Super Attak Precision" glue, unfortunately only the cap is visible in the video
Hell. This is absolutely lovely. I'm just learning about polymer clay. Can you please tell me why you choose FIMO vs. Premo clay. When you say it comes out better, in what way please? Thank you for sharing.
Hello, Thank you very much! 🥰 The fresh PREMO clay contains a lot of softening (oily) substances, which causes the colors of the mica powder to change slightly and become duller. That's why I tend to use FIMO clay for these projects. Of course, this is just my experience... 🙂
Thank you

That's gorgeous! May I ask what the necklace wire is called and where to find it?
Thank you very much! You can buy the necklace wire here:
www.aliexpress.com/item/32889350591.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef1802Jn3pk1
@@aginekojewelry thank you!
Such a beautiful piece! I love working with mica powder. Ive been using chameleon powder recently and the results are striking. I was wondering where you get your wire cord for hanging the pendant on? I love that look.
Thank you very much! 🙂
I bought the hanger for the pendant at a local store. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to buy it again since then. 😢 If I find it somewhere I will share the information with you. 🙂
@@aginekojewelry thank you! I follow you religiously! I love your work❤️
Beautiful! What UV lamp do you use (power)?
Thank you! 😊 For the Lisa Pavelka Magic Glos resin, I use a 4x9 watt UV lamp (not LED). The 9 watt is also good, but then the curing time is longer.
Agree with Sue - this piece is stunning!
Where did you find that texture sheet?
The texture sheet is from cooltools (www.cooltools.us). Its code is TTL-107 :-)
@@aginekojewelry GAD ZOOKS!!!!!
I'm in texture sheet heaven!
'Cool Tools' is gonna be getting my art's allowance for the next two months!
I would love to know what you use to make the necklace, and what kind of connector
The choker can be purchased here
www.aliexpress.com/item/32889350591.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.21ef1802Jn3pk1
This connector must be glued to the back of the pendant, I usually use "Loctite" glue. I bought the glue on bail for pendant in a hobby shop in my city, but I think you can also get it on Amazon or AliExpress.
You can also use this:

Gorgeous work! What did you use on the texture mat as a clay release agent and what was the cloth or paper you covered the clay with when rolling it on the texture, please?
Also, when you say that FIMO gives a better result than Premo clay for this technique, can you please be more specific about the differences in the results with FIMO versus Premo?
Thanks very much!
Thank you! 🙂
In this video, I didn't use a clay release agent on the texture mat because the pattern wasn't very deep. But when the pattern is deep, I usually use baby powder (on the clay).
I covered the clay with a cleaning wet cloth for rolling, the type is as follows:
www.af-net.com/products/workspace-cleaning/mtw025p_mobile_technology_cleaning_wipes/
You can use any other type of wet wipe. This way, the clay will not stick to the roller and you can make a nice print.
FIMO vs Premo: In general, I prefer Premo, but I found that when using mica powder techniques, the colors turned out better on FIMO. There is still a lot of softening material in fresh Premo, which many people reduce by placing it on paper sheet. I think because of the softener, the colors of the mica powder don't stay as beautiful. It is possible that the mica powders behave differently on older Premo, since it is already harder. Perhaps that this is only my experience, and if the colors stay nice on your Premo, then continue to use it! 🙂
@@aginekojewelry thank you so much for your helpful, detailed reply! I love your technique!❤️
@@aginekojewelry I found that the Mica Powder colors are much more muter than yours. Now I know why - I used Premo
That Inka Gold looks like silver. Am I seeing that right?
Yes, you see right. 😊 "Inka Gold" is a brand name, available in many colors. You can find information about the product here: www.viva-decor.com/en/paints/effect-paints/gloss-effect/183/inka-gold-62-5-ml-20-colors
