The OceanX Sharkmaster 1000 SMS1012 is a high quality watch. It pays tribute to diving watches of the present and the past, but does have key OceanX elements.
Under the hood you will find an automatic, Japanese SII NH35 movement. The glass is 4.5mm thick scratch resistant sapphire glass. The impressive 1000 meter water resistance of this watch is possible due to the helium valve, that you can see on the side of the case. The uni-directional 120 clicks bezel has a ceramic insert (which is very scratch resistant) and the characters have lume. All these qualities ensure to the Sharkmaster is able to handle nearly any situation.

I have the Sharkmaster 1000 SMS1012 and it's a great watch. No problem with diving either. The Seiko NH35 does its job very well.
Just got mine today. Gotta say I'm so impressed with the build quality and feel of the watch.
Compared to the £650 arnie 40th anniversary i purchased it feels like much better quality for half the price!!!
i have the cronos 2000 version of that... there are 4-5 different names that use that exact same case, they just change their print on the face. not a bad watch i actually like wearing mine and w the seiko movmt it is in FACT a better time keeper than rolex. rolex is garbage, how they are so much is beyond me... rolex should be on par with invicta.
Just got the VSMS533 and i'm loving it. Feels great and looks stunning.
Great homage to the Rolex/Tudor watches 😊
Very nice!
i have this watch and 5 other oceanx sharkmaster watches, these watches are great quality dive watches and well worth every penny. but the chrome watches do scratch, unless you buy a black, yellow gold, rose gold or bronze which have the PVD coating which will not scratch.. the lume on these watches are fantastic and so hardcore when it comes to dive watches, i think the oceanx sharkmasters are one of the best dive watches out there..
Love how these companies are using old style rep cases (HEV is the give-away) to rebrand an homage watch. HF! I just heard you say this was around $500!!! Save yourself a few hundred and get a decent DSSD rep and do a dial/hand swap. Pop off the bezel pip and lume the bezel insert. You've get a thinner watch, and a decent glidelock rather than the cheap one included on this bracelet.
Hi mate, I have finally taken delivery of my SMS1012 this morning after months of searching, I already have the SMS1004(Sunburst blue) which I was going to move on when this beauty arrived, but I think I will keep them both. Thanks to your reviews. Rob UK
Awesome! Its a great watch! Enjoy it
@@watchthis6254 I’ve got the 1014, 1012 and I’m now after the 1018b 👍
Thinking of getting one. Are they good quality??
@@MrSharpe95 yes, the quality is very good.
Beautiful watch!!
It really is!
Looks good to me. Congrats.
Thanks 👍
Thank you for this video, I've purchased one of these after viewing it. Did you remove any links from the bracelet ? If yes, is there screws or pins in the bracelet ?
The reason I'm asking is I watched a video on RUclips where a guy reduced the bracelet size of a Seiko watch which had what appeared to be screws in the bracelet but they were actually pins. The Sharkmaster has what look like screws but I tried to unscrew one without success
Geoff.
A little trick I learned from a watch dealer: use a blow dryer to loosen the loctite adhesive that watch makers use around the screw pins. It takes a minute or two at high heat on both sides, but it works every time. 🥂
@@jamala.5311 Many thanks my friend.
@@calibreman you're welcome
Can you show a lume shot
Ill have to make another video of it. Its fantastic best value for money this watch
Does it attract chicks?
Mate, you'll have to speak up, I can't hear you over those rings!
Haha thanks mate i will next video! New one coming soon
Really good watch for money you payed
It's hard to justify 500$ for this watch when you have Cronos and Phylida versions of the Deep Sea. Also, Audaz version looks better imo for the same price and the lume is crazy good.
I understand you but trust me, this is another level. 1000 meters and the quality is very high. Kronos is also good
Cronos is rated for 2000 meters and survived a pressure test to just shy of 3000 meters! At a price of about $230 US dollars it's a much better buy. I know, I own four of them!
I have a Cronos version 2000 meter. It's amazing at a fraction of the Rolex price.
