Is there a way to put something on (maybe like several coats of fix it spray, what artists use) to repaint the ends of the pole where it’s clamped (the red parts on the gardiner slx pole).

I use wd40 dry ptfe on mines. Is yours just cleaner or is it a lubricator as well
