  • Hello everyone, welcome back to the Shed!
    In this video I am going to change the clutch on the ZX10R track bike.
    As part of the process I will also be doing an oil and filter change.

    Great walkthrough !
    It is a straight forward task that anybody can do apart from the owner 😂😂

    Good on you Kev for keeping the little mistake in with the crash protector,the majority of you tubers would of cut that out just to look perfect. Your true followers will admire you more for your honesty,we all make mistakes now and then but it’s a true man,or woman who can admit them.

    Would you happen to know what would be causing a hard vibration throughout the bike when releasing the clutch in first gear? It just started happening a couple days ago. 2009 ZX10R. I checked all the clutch plates and they look all good, I think I'm going to remove the clutch basket and check the rivets on the backside but I'm waiting for my buddy's impact gun to get that nut off

    noticed you are not using your abba skylift for this job. are you still happy with it after a year of ownership. I think it looks awesome to be able to lift the whole bike at once but does the lift not just get in the way on some jobs?

      Good spot, the ABBA lift is perfect for this job but it currently has my ZX9R on it. I could have dropped it off and used it but I didn’t feel it necessary for this quick job 👌🏻

      The springs should only fit one way, the cups on the end that the bolt heads sit inside should sit inside the spring.

    Hi sir, May I ask you a question. I noticed that the clutch is not the slipper clutch. I have a 2017 zx10r bike, so it does not equipped with slipper clutch? why? even z900 has a slipper clutch. I am so confused....

    • @KevsShed
      @KevsShed  3 года назад +1

      This ZX10 does indeed have a slipper clutch, there are small ramps on the rear of the pressure plate and on the inside of the clutch basket, it probably just wasn’t clear in the video.
