Tha Bible lists names of individuals……historical research confirms those people named in the Bible existed. That proves the Bible is true and that God and Jesus are real. Sorry, the fact people named in the Bible existed does not in any way prove they were in any way supernatural or possessed supernatural powers.
If it did then “faith” would not be necessary. All religions are about “faith” but “believers” continuously want to “prove” their “beliefs” are based on logic, reason, history, and science. If that is true then “faith” isn’t necessary. Believers need to discard “faith” and present their “evidence” and have that evidence analyzed by actual scientists and accredited historians rather than apologists.
Well then you need to study some more. There are hundreds of things in the bible that you can't know are true. You can only believe they are. The fact that there was a King David only proves he existed . . . it certainly does not prove that any of the stories about him in the Bible are true, although some may be.
That is the way that it is for much of the Bible, though the further you go back in time, the more likely it is that the stories are not true, certainly not in their entirety. Use your head! How could the Hebrews have been slaves in Egypt if they owned flocks of animals. Why would Egyptians have let slaves borrow gold, jewels, and clothing from them? How could Moses have led millions out of Egypt and there is absolutely no trace of that. Israeli archeologists looked for 60 years and came up totally empty handed on that issue ! The flood of Noah is so obviously a fantasy based on older Sumerian myths. Those people had no idea what a small part of the world the little area they knew was! The highest mountain they knew of is less than a fifth of the height of Mt. Everest. If they had known, then maybe they would not have some up with such silly stories.

I have been working with genetic genealogy since 2007. The field of Genealogy is tied directly to both the field of HISTORY and the field of Archeology. I am a Christian and firmly have witnessed GOD will open a window or door to help spotlight something FALSE that Satan tries to use to deceive and God brings through LIGHT TRUTH.
History is supposed to be record of truth but we have allowed the world of Academia to distort and revise and revamp how conclusions are allowed.
Over and over Dr Hasel mentions how this notion of LACK of EVIDENCE in the field of Archeology was used to CONSTRUCT a Conclusion -
THINK about that - you start with 0/nothing and then you attach that 0/nothing to a HISTORICAL event/person/place and use the 0/nothing as grounds to DISCOUNT or DISMISS what has existed.
That practice is unsound, illogical, and I believe rooted by the Great Deceiver's attempt to tear us from GOD.
And just as God allowed Satan only so much rope in the story of Job, God is the one in control and HE will stop the contemporary practice of negativity to hide/distort TRUTH.
I believe that is why we have been given the genetic genealogy tests and tools.
National Geographic is such a wonderful entity. They work to build truth using good sound scientific protocols.
For centuries genealogies were constructed using "guidances" AKA guesses. I believe some 'scholars" AKA professors who craved tenure and personal notoriety and wealth decided they could downgrade other fields of study to mere guidances and consequentially that NEGATIVE/ ZERO seed was planted in the scientific society.
George SOROS is the poster boy for one who has allowed himself to be blinded by Satan's efforts to deceive imo. Soros, Sager, and many others climb up on a soapbox and pronounce themselves to be intellectuals (suggesting a superiority that commands and demands their claims are sound and true) and literally use the term 'enlightened'. I wonder if GOD chuckle or if the perversion draws His attention?
Too many have allowed themselves to be entangled by that false doctrine created by Carl Popper. At the core of Popper's notion is
" empirical truth cannot be known with absolute certainty" He planted the seed of DOUBT which is Satan's hallmark. Academia has always been a place to question. Therefore the guardrails for properly identifying and discerning are vital. When Satan tempted Christ he used deception, false identification, perversion, and omission as tools to try and persuade and move CHRIST away from empirical absolutes/ The aim of Satan was to elevate himself and satisfy his own personal desires. CHRIST knew there were absolutes and Scientific LAWs are derived from what has been proven over time to be ABSOLUTES or at the very minimum RELIABLE stable cornerstones.
Carl Popper claims "Even scientific laws cannot be verified beyond a shadow of a doubt: they can only be falsified by testing"
Notice how POPPER discounts the term LAW and SCIENTISTS in one fell swoop. And then he offers a half truth as significant. He says a LAW can only be falsified by testing BUT ignores the fact that to become a scientific LAW a bevy of proofing already exists that verify/support.
As I watched this segment and how Dr Hasel repeatedly comments that TRUE SCIENTIFIC STUDY starts with a DISCOVERY. Archaeology is a field of study that uses SCIENTIFIC PROTOCOLS to BUILD, not tear down. And the reason they can is because of the cornerstones already in place. All fields which use scientific protocols have developed over time particular LAWS that have been proven over and over again.
1- "there is no absolute certainty" identifies a bias and doesn't it by default set in place an immediate STOP? The Book of Isaiah is clear that if we wait for God we will soar like eagles, we won't stumble and we won't fall. False doctrines clip wings of exploration, create stumbling blocks, and provoke, even possible push a fall.
How can anything that follows be considered as reliable ? It is Satan's corrupt spinning at work imo..
"One failed test is enough to falsify, but no amount of conforming instances is sufficient to verify" NOTICE the twisted nuanced language - NOT CONFIRMING but CONFORMING - We need eyes to see and ears to hear more than ever before when our communication lanes move at cyber speed!
" Scientific laws are always hypothetical in character, and their validity remains open to falsification". AGAIN with the twisted language. Scientific LAWS are hypothetical? Really? NO. That is simple a false statement. Hypotheticals are unproven theories which have not gone through the rigors of scientific proofing. He tried putting the line of carts before a horse and making the absurd conclusion SEE that HORSE can't pull any cart! The statement can't withstand simple logic test. WHICH ALSO is rooted in ABSOLUTES by the way.
The whole effort by POPPER and any who try this NEGATIVE/ZERO FALSIFICATION nonsense is making a personal choice for personal reasons. And We the People, or better yet, ALL God's People whom Christians recognize as ALL MANKIND because when we look into the eyes of anyone we see what GOD has made. And while we can hate the deceptions, the perversions, all efforts by Satan to destroy GOD will never turn from us SO LONG AS WE continue to SEEK HIM. And I believe SCIENCE is an empirical effort to draw closer to GOD. And archaeological (and genetic) evidence is strategically placed and waiting to help anchor us to TRUTH.

@16:00 actually the Bible does mention many Gods in Psalm 82. The distinction needs to be made between the many "Elohim" gods and the single Yahweh God who most people think of when they talk about "God". They are both "gods" but not the same.
The bible calls them false gods of wood stone and metals. That can't speak or hear. They are not real nor have any powers.
There is only one God.

Elohim is plural and indicates the triune composition of God's being - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. There is none like Him. There are no other "elohim gods"

The Holy Spirit can be grieved Ephesians 4:30-32.

Let "us" go down and make man in "our" image.
Obviously if God thought it was important enough to warn us about "other gods", they must exist, and it looks like they already existed before the Creation of our World.
