    I appreciate that having google assistant directly operate the more essential features of the car is not a good idea but, given the lack of physical buttons it would be good to be able to ask it to turn on the fog light (for example) and then use the ok button on the steering wheel to confirm the instruction. Alternatively us the asistant to navigate to the relevant place in the menu just leaving the driver to push the final soft button.

    Thanks for the videos, I have a LMSM on order in vapour grey with denim, now wishing that i had gone for this interior! Replacing a Polestar2 which I will surely miss!

      Denim are also nice, but I'm a sucker for this one. Yeah I'll bet. I'm a huge fan of the Polestar 2

    Merci pour cette vidéo très complete sur ce Volvo EX30 que j'ai moi-même depuis 3 semaines.
    Très sympathique vidéo , manque juste une chose en arrière plan ...... the yellow submarine !
    Merci encore

    It seems like you really don’t like anything capacitive. Personally been driving my new EX-30 for 2 weeks now. No issue with any of the capacity button on the steering wheel or the rear windows button. Issue that I have is that the software of the touch screen are still very buggy with a lot of the function not “sticking” and often get reset.
    In terms of the arm rest on the rear seat. I have never use it on my XC40… so I don’t missed it. lol 😅

      Have to agree 🤣 Not a fan of capacitive buttons, or at least not Volvo's implementation here. I've experienced better capacitive buttons before.

    I love the Mist I plan to order a White car with that interior. It is just the wife and myself we never use the back seat. I'm planning on a SMER Ultra and hopefully by the time the EX30s get to the USA all the bugs will be figured out including the radio, steering wheel, mileage, screen et cetera. Tell your Volvo friends that their USA future customers are getting VERY restless and that they very much need to give us all a status update, it's been MONTHS without as much as a peep... Unacceptable!!

    • @mdshovel

      I suspect you have to look to USA issues with importing China built cars

      Crystal and Mist are my favorite spec now. Moss Yellow was turning out to be to much for me 🤣
      Yeah, I've heard about Volvo's lack of communication in US. It's sad that they aren't better. Hopefully they improve rapidly.

      @@mdshovel Actually they manufacture cars here, not EX30s, and as such they car skip tariffs in some kind of deal with our government.

      @@volvo_kristian I doubt I could tolerate Moss Yellow for the full 3 years of my lease - so favour the Crystal White with Mist interior

      @@OwenFromOhio I'm aware they manufacture the XC90 in US ... but also notice that Chinese companies are setting up in Mexico to beat the tariff

    In my 10 year old car I can count on one hand the times I have lowered the rear window. So no issue for us. We would miss the light on the vanity mirror. We will wait for a test drive to decide if one display is an issue. No doubt we are waiting for the 2025 or 2026 release to reach the US. Looking for improved software, range and some new colors. Would love to see the Volvo sage the mist interior. As a 70+ old driver sound systems are not a top consideration. Again thanks for your reviews.

      Yeah, doubt the window operation will annoy to many owners in real life. Sage Green with Mist could be really nice 😎 Thanks so much

    Do you believe that Volvo will ever add a HUD, rear arm rest, gauge cluster, etc. to the EX30 with future models, or is this really what the car will be going forward? What do you see them improving in one or two years besides the steering wheel buttons? Have you had those conversations with Volvo?

    • @volvo_kristian
      @volvo_kristian  6 месяцев назад +1

      Honestly NO.. , but I'm hoping that they get enough pressure and will implement a HUD.. Haven't asked anyone from Volvo about this.

    Can you test what happens if you put a piece of tape over the driver monitor sensors?

    • @volvo_kristian
      @volvo_kristian  6 месяцев назад +2

      Have tried blocking it, but it will then just beep that it's blocked 🤣 so just as annoying. Easier to turn it off

    So, would you buy an EX30 for yourself or will you stick to with the XC40 (or something else)?

    • @volvo_kristian
      @volvo_kristian  6 месяцев назад

      Honestly that depends on the EX30 Cross Country spec/appeal.. But I'm also looking into the Smart #1 if I'm going to trade down a size. It's tempting to just keep the XC40 or replace it with a C40 maybe.. We're also getting some more juicy cars later this year with ES90 and not to forget the Porsche Macan. Nothing planned now. I'm just going with the flow and seeing what grabs my attention the most.

    How would a 50 pound dog ride in the trunk....probably too tight? I suppose you could lower the back trunk deck and/or drop the seats? Thanks. Have enjoyed your vids and style.

    • @volvo_kristian
      @volvo_kristian  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, would lower the trunk floor, and if necessary also drop one seat. Recommend to bring your dog to a Volvo dealership and try it

    How annoying noises the car makes when speeding or losing attention. Everyone is talking about it, but no one has shown them on video. Do you have a sound recording somewhere on the video?

    Silly comments about the stereo at 70%. I was expecting you to suggest that Volvo should make it be able to go to 11.
    At 70% power, most amps would be clipping already. That’s what you’re hearing. What’s lacking in the Volvo is an amp with a higher rated power compared to the other cars you’ve tried that went louder. The 70% number means nothing when comparing two different rated amplifiers.

    • @volvo_kristian
      @volvo_kristian  6 месяцев назад +1

      Well.. that's your opinion.
      Can play at a better sound quality at 95% in my XC40, and same with all other CMA/SPA cars with either Harman or Bowers.. Maybe my explanation weren't good enough, but wasn't talking loudness. Was talking quality at a high volume. And it's there I'm not pleased in the EX30
