- Moving or copying files between projects in Descript Storyboard is quite easy. If you find yourself uploading the same files over and over again and re-transcribing, stop wasting transcription minutes and use the steps outlined in this Descript tutorial.
I show you how to check the files you're using in a Descript project, how to create a blank project and copy all those to it without reimporting, reuploading, retranscribing anything. Descript will bring over all the files involved, all the edits, scenes, etc. so you can do something else with your content.

Cristi, you've now come up for a few different Descript things that I've been trying to figure out how to do (I watched your sequence video like 3 times to make sure I was doing it correctly!) and I know I'm going to be met with a very clear and straightforward answer. Thank you for your work! The next Descript question I have, I'm saving myself the trouble and starting in your channel!
That is amazing to hear, thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you're finding the help you need.

Hey Cristi, Do you know if I can go from premier to Descript?
I know I can go from descript to premier (I export like that the most often for my work), but I have many sequences in premier that I need to get into descript so I can edit in there.
I need to take a timeline from premier with all it's tracks into descript, so I can do editing there and then export it back into a descript sequence. Do you know if that's possible?
No, that's not possible, you can't transfer a whole multi-track sequence from Premiere to Descript. You'd have to export each track on its own and import and re-assemble it in Descript. Too painful and tedious in my opinion and not worth it. Why do you need this, just curious?
@@Graphicious ya thats what I thought, unfortunately I have to go through the tedious process
For clients that sell online courses I use descript to edit together dialogue for ads and then take them into premier to add broll and music. New client has music and broll over the lessons so I need to remove that and then take them into descript. It's about to be a grind lol
does this only work on the descript app? I only use the desktop web version and don't see the option to open a window :/
Yes, on the web you have to use a new tab in your browser
how can I display that top menu bar?
Are you referring to the "Files" and "Compositions" panel (Media Bin)? This video is for the older 'Storyboard' version of Descript. The files and compositions work the same way in the new version but they have moved under "Project" on the right-hand sidebar.
