This video is so good, thank you. I watched another persons video and this is so much easier to understand. Are you going to share how to put animation in other places on the screen like in the middle?
Thanks a lot, glad you found this video useful! Animation in other places, not sure what you mean. The principle is the same. Create the animation and in the two keyframes position the object where you want it before and after the animation.
I remember you from Camtasia tutorials. Why use Desyrpt if we already have Camtasia. I am curious to know how that would be of benefit to Camtasia users. Thanks
Hi, yes, I still use Camtasia every day for a lot of my video editing. In fact, all my tutorials are recorded and edited in Camtasia. But I do use Descript for some things that Camtasia has yet to catch up on: - transcription - creating social media clips - editing podcasts - collaborating with clients on their podcasts and courses I'm not a one-tool guy. I will use all tools that help me achieve my goals and get the job done. Not loyal to any one in particular.
@@Graphicious I am not a one man tool guy either. The transcription part Audiate has and is made by Techsmith like Camtasia is. They work perfectly together. I edit podcasts with it with no problem. I was just curious what I needed Desript for. It sounds as if as long as I have Audiate that I don’t need it. Unless I am missing something that you stated. I don’t mind learning a new tool , but I can’t figure out what it does that Audiate and Camtasia doesn’t do.
Descript has way more features -- it invades Camtasia's space quite a lot. In addition to transcription and removing filler words (like Audiate does), Descript has a very powerful collaboration component. It also has a few more audio effects that Audiate does not. And best of all, the price is less than Audiate and it doesn't require the roundtrip from Camtasia. I wish Audiate were part of Camtasia. That's when it would get pretty close to Descript. One can only hope. Maybe version 2029 or something! :D

It is quite limited and buggy.

Pls make the same video in the latest Descript version. There is lot of changes now.
I will, but in the meantime, I covered these new animation updates in this live show, starting at 3:14: ruclips.net/user/liveBfKKxVa1U-0
