Want to thank you very much, problem diagnosed and solved easily with your explanation. I had the code for front and rear cylinders both pressure switches were shorted to ground replaced both. I checked them with a simple test light! Runs like a champ....

Hi, confirming if you unplug the oil pressure sensors there shouldn’t be a code, correct? I got a p0118 (coolant temp sensor) and p3400 simultaneously. any idea if they’re related or treat each independently?
They are the VCM system needs an accurate ECT sensor reading fix the P0118 first this ECT sensor effect lots or systems like ignition timing A/F ratio feedback idle speed the ECT voltage are high it should drop with hot engine, after fixing the P0118 you need to check the P3400 code if still present after clearing the codes.
Did you purchase the part from the Honda Dealership or a local parts store? Also, by any chance do you have the part number for it? I have the same code right now but local parts store are giving me the wrong part.

For me, dealer said I need OEM part from them instead of aftermarket. They reflash the computer and soon as I took it out the p03497 came back- I’m debating whether to change both switches and purchase from dealer or just buy the vcm muzzler
Hello, if the price of the dealer ones are close to the aftermarket ones I go with the OEM switches, as a technition I only use OEM, for the VCM _ VPS muzzluer I'm not a big fan of it, if the engine is running rough or if the check engine light is on the muzzluer will not fix it, the muzzluer only prevents the VCM from activating by controlling the ECT reading on a fault free VCM system do the code has to be fixed before the muzzluer.
@@thecarfixchannel3046 Yeah, they aren’t that far from the aftermarket. I’ll be stopping by tomorrow to get two- even though it reads to replace the front one- might as well do the back one. I have changed the gasket of the “ECCPP Variable Valve Timing Solenoid” the only problem was a leaking of oil, but after that I tested and everything was perfect, but the next they I tested on the freeway and right when I set the cruiser control at 80 mph it turned the cruiser off and the motor started to shaking and showing the engine light, the code was p3447 trying to erase it was impossible, so that day I changed the whole “ECCPP Variable Valve Timing Solenoid” and the engine light was gone then I tested that night on the street, but the next they I tested for 3 hours on the freeway but with out using the cruiser I have only used the cruiser at the and of the test for 2 minutes everything was perfect again, but the next day the engine light shows up again, but now was able to erase, but it showed again in the next day so I had to change the other pressure oil sensor then the engine light and the code was gone by it self, but the next morning the same, engine light, code and motor shaking again. Uff now im stuck on that. Now it’s showing “P3497 And P0304”

And great video by the way
Code p2658 is for the bank two rocker arm oil control solenoid not the oil pressure switch, it should have a resistance of 14 to 17 ohm at room Temp if more or less this means it's bad, if the reading within Specs the system may have wiring or PCM issues. Bank two is located on the radiator side of the engine.

CEL came back after my wife drove it for a little while. I haven’t yet rechecked it but I have a oil pressure switch coming and a spool valve. Gasket. Couldn’t find that oring for the switch unless it was in that gasket kit.
If code p04300 is a hard code this means the oil pressure switch for bank one or rear bank windshield side is stuck on, it should be off in 6 cylinder mode meaning no oil pressure should be present, the oil pressure switch is off and on circuit if the oil pressure switch is shorted on the inside it will send ground signal to the PCM and the DTC will set, you can check it with a test light one end on the positive side of the battery and the test light on the switch with the ignition switch off and the switch disconnected, if the test light lights up the switch is bad.
Code p3400 is for an oil pressure switch not a sensor. If the switch reads on at idle it's no good also the code may set if the switch reads off all the times with the VCM active, if the switch is new and no other codes for the V P S or VCM system you may have
Code p349\ is for bank two (VPS ) system stuck off, this bank is in the front not in the back of the engine, the oil pressure switch should have no ground feed with the engine off or at idle, so it's not the same switch code p3400 is for bank one located in the back of the engine.
