We were contemplating excellence playa mujeres as our first experience. We are definitely swayed into this direction. Thanks for sharing your experience! Subscribed! 🎉🎉🎉
IM so crazy about that green marble in the bathrooms. Never thought I would like it, but now am in love. I arrive in 2 weeks for our second stay and I'm clearly watching all the vids to boost my excitement! Thanks for this great vid.
YASSS!!! The bathrooms are beautiful. The whole resort is just absolutely stunning in my opinion. Hope you have an amazing time :D remember to bring sunblock and mosquito repellent!!!
Thank you for sharing, this was super informative and helpful!! We are planning to be there in a few weeks and look forward to many of the highlights you shared!!
You got me a little concern😅 when you mentioned about the walls being to thin and being able to hear other rooms. Oh well, looks like whoever is next to us they'll be hearing my wife for sure at night and in the morning😂🔥 🙈 we arrive in a week! Can't wait! 😁
Hi. Afternoon. Very good detailed Video. Few Questions. 1) Did they serve grey goose? was it an additional cost? 2) Was the food really good as in, you wouldnt really consider it typical resort food? 3) Was it hard to get reservations for the restaurants? 4) Was the service at the pool good? Not a question but the only thing that is holding me back from this resort is the beach, it looks a bit unswimable with all the grass. The water isnt that blue. thank yoou
Hi! 1) I can't say sorry about that! 2) Food was excellent! Like 4.5 restaurant in my opinion! 3) We went in August and the first day we reserved for 3 days ahead!!! The best restaurant do tend to fill up quickly but if you plan ahead, I think you'll get the restaurants you want ;) 4) The pool servers are few but very attentive. Sometimes it takes a while to get your oder for examples but the food is always warm and drinks cold and they do their best! As for the beach, we were slightly disappointed because you have to really go early to "reserve" the Bali beds, otherwise you end up way back in the beach with no view of the ocean, we wished we had a better experience there. The water wasn't that clear but it was warm and calm and enjoyed it! Hope this helps 😊
We were there a month ago. It was excellent, staff is great, food overall is great, its chill with enough things to do but not a spring break party so perfect for us. The loud pool is still very chill, not overbearing, just music and people hanging out. Mercado 19 breakfast is amazing (I bet dinner is also good but we didnt make it), the 2 mixologist bar were awesome, the live piano was very cool. You must eat Kopai, Cilento, Mercado 19, Maria Dolores, and El Suspiro. We did not try Takeshi or Cala Di Luna but wanted to try both. Skip los abrazos and la consentida imo, both were not worth it. We did a swim out room which is inspira only but we really didnt use the perks, they made us reservations, they kept the fridge stocked, and we had more cabanas on the beach but you can get by easy with a regular room. When you check in, someone will take you to explain the map of the place, and then they try to sell you on a time share by saying lets meet for breakfast, just skip it.
Thank you so much! Service: Excellent, very attentive, nice and friendly! They do push the timeshare when you check-in but that's it. I think the resort offers activities but its not their main focus. In my experience, other resorts, have a full entertainment team that their whole job is solely to recruit guests to join and have fun. Atelier doesnt have that big of a team. Overall, If i wanted to have a just chill, relax, eat good food and do my own thing vacation, I would go back. But if I wanted a more fun vacation with tons of activities I would consider another resort. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
After you check-in they assign a person to take you to another area in the lobby, they explain the hotel, restaurants, things like that but also about the time share by pitching you a breakfast with them. If you accept that breakfast, they'll explain and sell you the timeshare aspect while you eat breakfast the whole time. We declined the breakfast, so we don't know many details on the timeshare prices.
Price-wise, how did Atelier compare to the Valentin? Looks like a nice resort but I love the jungle/hacienda vibe at VIM and Atelier looks very sterile in comparison? Which do you prefer?
Great question! Atelier was a bit more expensive, it's very modern, the crowd is younger (20-40s? at least when we went), and food was better. VIM is more romantic, amazing pools and more activities which to me makes it more fun. If you want calm, modern aesthetic, relaxation and amazing food, go to Atelier. If you want romantic, tons of activities to choose from and the classic vibe, go to VIM. I would go back to both!
I'm personally in the boat of tip what you feel comfortable tipping within your budget! A sample day could look like tipping in USD, $1-2/drink throughout the day at the pool/beach. Breakfast/Lunch $5-10. Dinner $10-20. $5-10/day housekeeping OR at the end of your stay. I would also tip your transport from airport to resort $5-10 because in my experience, the drivers are eager to give you local guides, history and recommendations. At the end of the day just remember, tip is optional but they do appreciate whatever you give them!
During our stay, the main pool was very much chill!. Like read a book and relax type of vibe. They did a few fitness activities and pool-side bingo but that's about it. The whole resort has that chill vibe. However, it can also depend on the people staying at that time and the energy they bring. If you're looking for more lively, Atelier may not be it.
@@MariJulis I appreciate the review. It helped us decide this was not the vibe we were looking for. Every one of your meals looked terrific, and the facility was top-notch. Thank you!

Definitely going to come back in the future!!!

Jajaja bring earplugs for your neighbors ☺️ You're gonna have fun for sure! & to be fair, I am a light sleeper.
Justo estaba buscando reviews de atelier y valentin.... gracias!

@@MariJulis thanks! I would not be able to get an Inspira level room. Does it seem to be a big downer without that???
I didn't get inspira either and I was still able to enjoy like 90% of what the resort has to offer. Not a big downer at all.
We just booked for December. Tell me about the timeshare thing @@MariJulis

Did you make reservations just for dinner restaurants or do you recommend doing it for breakfast/ lunch as well
I believe reservations are only for dinner. On your arrival, I would go ahead and make your dinner reservations for the next three days or so!
Are all of the food and drinks included?
They sure are! Some exceptions would be specialty lobster and bottles of wine i think? & the Maria Dolores restaurant.
What would be your suggestion on tipping the staff?

What is the main pool atmosphere like? We were looking for chill but at least main pool with louder music and not elevator music ha

Do you know the beer selectiion available
Oh that's a good question! I don't know though 😅 but I'll make note of beer selections for future resorts!
Food: Michelin
Design: Gensler
Vibe: New Balance
You're not wrong! 🙃

How was the A/C? Can you control the temp. 66 deg at night is my preferred temp.
Thanks.
AC worked the whole time I was there, didn't need to adjust, but I'm sure you could since most resorts you're able to!
@@MariJulis Thanks!
