Hi, thanks for the comment. We haven't installed the PW3 yet, but it has a lot of improved features, such as max discharge has increased significantly, and it can handle I believe up to 20KW array? The main bugbear for me is that with the PW3 it has a built in inverter whereas the PW2 does not. Keeping the inverter separate gives you more flexibility with choosing different inverter brands and sizes, but also if you did have a problem with the inverter side of things after the 10 years warranty has ran out you could easily change that and inverters are much cheaper than the battery. In our experience if any component is likely to fail or have a shorter life span, it is the inverter. But then there ar egreat benefits from the PW3 so it is swings and roundabout's, but something to bear in mind!
@@alpselectrical Your right about the inbuilt inverter in the PW3, it would potentially have a longer lifespan if it was separate from the batteries. It would be even better if they switched to an LFP battery configuration, I can only hope. I’m still searching for a solution for my £1350 quarterly bills; We run two long range EV’s, Heat pump, all cooking, heating and lighting in our home is electric. We have migrated to the lowest tariff in our area and yet the bills are still £5.4k per year. There is room on our south facing roof and even ground mounting on our 3/4 archer site, any back of the fag packet suggestions will be most welcomed. In the meantime, I’ll keep watching your videos. Cheers👍
Hey, I can completely appreciate that matey, especially on a Friday afternoon eh?, but with all due respect, we are more interested in keeping the customer happy than your good self :) As we said though, should they need to be - they can always be relocated, but for now and the foreseeable future its a tidy solution that serves a purpose, meets the regs, and keeps the install looking lovely! There is plenty of room in there and so nonsensical not to utilise it!
Love this! Great information for new installers and great video.
thank you very much :)

Where do you live in the UK??
As a meter installer I would NOT like to come across those chuffing isolators in a “ meter” cupboard.
