I wanted to add PW3s to my existing Enphase PV system with their IQ8A micro inverters and was just informed the PW3 currently doesn't work with my gear. So my installer suggested some Enphase 5Ps or the PW2. He did say the PW2 would be much cheaper offer more backup power and take up less wall space in my garage. So he's working up an estimate. I was informed my local utility will give me a $300 per kWh CASH REBATE, so I'd be getting $9100 back as a CASH REBATE. So while I wanted LFP I can live with the PW2. Great video and you answered all my questions.
22000 usd I have 8kw inverter, 48kw battery and 12kw of solar. With out rebates, Lead carbon batteries, sealed no maintenance, can charge at 11kw and -30c with no heater, and 2600 watts in full overcast. 20kw of batteries from Sig solar is $4000, 18kw inverter $5000. Powerwall 3 +1 pack for 9k.

@@Heatable lts a lead carbon,sealed,non spillable,discharge 90% max,charge and discharge at -40, they seem to loose a little capacity when cold but for 30 day you can partial charge, eg using a gen for winter charge. No bms inverter just monitors by voltage in the bank. after 6 months I checked all of them.1 v difference so no optimizer needed. Victron has lead carbon mine are XTerra there are others all a bit different specs. 12v 250a weighs 170lbs.i did a lifespan calculation looks like 14 to 16 years till it's down too 40 kw also 97% recyclable . I have a solar system vid, truly simple to install. Tesla makes good stuff but the Powerwall is too much $ for the performance.
So, i assume that these are supplied direct from DC strings, without micro inverters, which I thought were the best option? Had a few quotes, including for a Powerwall 3 from yourselves today.
The powerwall 2 and 3 can be paired with micro inverters. The powerwall 3 can be AC coupled with micro inverters or DC coupled with panels straight into it or both at the same time.
Dude, why are you doing a review on a product that they discontinued? It’s been out for years. The only place that you can still buy. This is in Hawaii a little late to the game. Just trying a new RUclips channel out as a hobby on an industry, you don’t understand?
Hi, thanks for your comment. The PW2 is still available across most of Europe until mid 2025. Just because the product is due to be replaced in the UK later this year doesn't remove the curiosity to learn about it's features.

It’s still available in Puerto Rico, 2024.
