If you count starving to death caused by natural disasters mass muder I don't really get your logic, there was a 12 year natural disaster which caused crops to die through out the whole country, thats exactly why China developed GM rice so they can stop the starvation. Mao is not perfect and have done bad things, but he kick started scientific research, agricultrure and heavy/light industries for China, he also got rid of many ridiculous folk traditions, people respected him so much that even bandits refused to rob anything with his photo place on it, he was literally the only person that the public hailed "long live" to since the last emperor, and if you think everyone is brain washed I just have nothing to say, you don't get away with mass murder and have a whole country that basically worships you as a god. So please do more research before you say someone is bad or evil, change comes with sacrifice and sacrifice lead to negative news and reports and reporter will always exaggerate events to gain popularity. It is not considered a country, by the antarctic treaty signed in 1959 no government can lay claim to the continent of Antarctica, even so without said treaty, there would need to be a permanent population as well as a governing body and a constitution, not even to mention international recognition from the united nations security council. Also if you are going to say it does have a population, made up of scientists, then no, it does not, as the scientists do not remain there for the entirety of their lives, nor has anyone ever remained there for the entirety of their life.
There are not any permanent residents of Antarctica, there is a fluctuating 1000-5000 temporary scientists that visit each year, but there is no permanent inhabitants, if you can provide proof that there is a permanent population I would gladly accept it, my source is mentalfloss.com/article/29708/11-cold-hard-facts-about-antarctica and www.coolantarctica.com/Antarctica%20fact%20file/science/can_you_live_in_antarctica.php

fact 56: in the part of China I live in, wearing white-ish on wedding(the old school ritual, wedding reception is ok) is frowned upon but alright as long as it's not all white. On the other hand, red on funeral is a BIG no-no, not even a bit. with that said, you can't wear white and red on funeral, it's just too happy color-wise. And in some regional myth, the death would haunt the person who wore red. LOL fact 66: QQ is not (at least mainly not) mail service, it's a IM that also provide many other services, basically a IM-based internet platform. RenRen(facebook-like) became obsolete since 2014, after Sina Weibo (Twitter-like) is widely used. Then WeChat (a product derived from QQ that combined IM with Twitter-like social features) took over to make Weibo obsolete now.

min 3.31 Macau was taken by the portuguese in 1887 ??? China offered Macau to the portuguese and Luso-Chinese trade relations were formally established in 1554 and Portugal soon after acquired a permanent lease for Macau in 1557, agreeing to pay 500 taels of silver as annual land rent. Portugal had at that time intense commerce with Japan and brought japanese silver to China, a metal China lacked By the way - China offered the trading post Macau to the Portuguese as a gratitude because the Portuguese had destroyed the pirates that had been assailing the south coast of China for decades
A series of political, economic and military missteps led to the KMT's defeat and its retreat to Taiwan (formerly "Formosa") in 1949, where it established an authoritarian one-party state continuing under Generalissimo/President Chiang Kai-shek. This state considered itself to be the continuing sole legitimate ruler of all of China, referring to the communist government or "regime" as illegitimate, a so-called "People's Republic of China" (PRC) declared in Beijing (Peking) by Mao Zedong in 1949, as "mainland China", "Communist China, or "Red China". The Republic of China was supported for many years - even decades - by many nations, especially the United States who established a 1954 Mutual Defense treaty. After political liberalization began in the late 1960s, the PRC was able - after a constant yearly campaign in the United Nations - to finally get approval in 1971 to take the seat for "China" in the General Assembly, and more importantly, be seated as one of the five permanent members of the Security Council. After recovering from this shock of rejection by its former allies and liberalization in the late 1970s from the Nationalist authoritarian government and following the death of Chiang Kai-shek, the Republic of China has transformed itself into a multiparty, representative democracy on Taiwan and given more representation to those native Taiwanese, whose ancestors predate the 1949 mainland evacuation.

Correction! Macau was under Portuguese rule for 400 years, not since 1887. China wanted to take Macau back by 1999 just because Chinese government did not want to bring this matter pass 2000. It has nothing to do with the 99-year lease like Hong Kong.
I'd take the information in this video with a grain of salt if I were you guys. I'll be damned if I were to believe everything I see or watched on the internet.
It should be noted that China is not Communist, not even Socialist. Socialism requires for the workers to own the means of production, and for wealth to be distributed "to each according to their ability, to each according to their need." China does neither of these. The state owns the means of production, generating wealth for itself. It's another form of aristocracy. Some companies even have suicide nets to stop workers killing themselves due to the poor working conditions. This is called State Capitalism. While there are a few modern "Communists" who do advocate for dictators like Castro, Stalin or Mao, they are in the extreme minority. The majority of modern day Communists are Anarchists, who oppose all unjust hierarchies; including the state. Anarchists advocate for horizontality and mutual aid based on need, rather than hierarchies based on wealth.
Hell, China isn't even anti-capitalist. No country with that many Starbucks, McDonalds, & KFC could be. Now Washington State Democrats are ironically extremely Socialist.

Did you just consider Antartica a country?!
LOL!
It's a land-mass with a name so he wasn't wrong.
They probably got it wrong without noticing
It can technically can be considered a country...
NoEffortIncluded no it can’t it’s a continent that has land owned by other countries, that’s like saying Asia is a country!
amazing video, who agrees ?
China is a beautiful country and has a far developed infrastructure than US or Europe but you won't hear them from Western media, so you actually have to visit there to see the beauty.
As an American, I am 100 percent okay with you doing a 101 facts on Football, but I also ask that one day you do a 101 facts on American Football as well.
You got the Great Wall part wrong, there were several Great Walls and the one that is the best known is the Ming Great Wall, the Qin Walls have mostly collapsed because they were bulit from earth and rocks rather than stone stone bricks and rice cement. They are seperate walls in different areas, not the same one.
I have lived in the Western society long enough to know that mainly negative news of China gets through to the Western world, there are rarely any positive news if any.
The law about the visiting elderlies did not pass in the supereme court so it's not in effect.

im sorry but did you put antarctica as a country in second place at 1:25 ?
Johndaniel132 Confused me too.
Antarctica is considered a country and continent however mainly inhabitable for humans.
It says within your article that there is no permanent population under the section labeled "Who lives in antarctica today, and nowhere within the article does it speak of a permanent population anywheres else, except for a permanent base, which is just a location in which habitants can live

fact 56: in the part of China I live in, wearing white-ish on wedding(the old school ritual, wedding reception is ok) is frowned upon but alright as long as it's not all white. On the other hand, red on funeral is a BIG no-no, not even a bit. with that said, you can't wear white and red on funeral, it's just too happy color-wise. And in some regional myth, the death would haunt the person who wore red. LOL
fact 66: QQ is not (at least mainly not) mail service, it's a IM that also provide many other services, basically a IM-based internet platform. RenRen(facebook-like) became obsolete since 2014, after Sina Weibo (Twitter-like) is widely used. Then WeChat (a product derived from QQ that combined IM with Twitter-like social features) took over to make Weibo obsolete now.

Macau was taken by the portuguese in 1887 ???
China offered Macau to the portuguese and
Luso-Chinese trade relations were formally established in 1554 and Portugal soon after acquired a permanent lease for Macau in 1557, agreeing to pay 500 taels of silver as annual land rent.
Portugal had at that time intense commerce with Japan and brought japanese silver to China, a metal China lacked
By the way - China offered the trading post Macau to the Portuguese as a gratitude because the Portuguese had destroyed the pirates that had been assailing the south coast of China for decades

So true i agree

It should be noted that China is not Communist, not even Socialist. Socialism requires for the workers to own the means of production, and for wealth to be distributed "to each according to their ability, to each according to their need."
China does neither of these.

Tip: 1. go after October 7th because during the whole-week holiday it’s crowded everywhere 2. Most people here can speak simple English, if you need to communicate with local people, remember to speak slowly and clearly and try to use some simple words because not everyone’s good at English 4. It might be useful to remember the number gestures that’s used in China 5. Most people here are kind and warm-hearted, if you need help you can just ask people around you for help, remember to ask people who looks more decent and well-educated, they might be able to speak English 6. Don’t believe any fucking words the video tell you, it’s just disgusting stereotypes and nonsense. Hope I’m not telling you too late.
