The contrast of solid colour, a busy bigger painting cell, woeks well, beautiful
Love the solid black area .. provides a visual 'rest' and keeps the eye moving at the same time!
I would love to see the dried finished art at the end of each video.
So many artists will show you the process and then don't show the dried piece, which I think, is just as important, if not more important.
Thank-you for your generosity of sharing! I love your imagination and willingness to explore outside the box.
Ell Ess this is an unedited video, I uploaded it immediately after doing the pour. Most of my videos are uploaded to RUclips before the painting is dry. What is important to me is to show you techniques you can try. Click on my “Community” tab to see a photo of this painting after it dried. I also use Instagram for photos of dry paintings.
agreed...the dried result is much needed
Chad Marcum a photo of the dry painting is in the community section. It looks exactly like it did when it was wet.
I agree i found myself wondering if this shiny sheen kept the wet look after it dries also if it ever ends up with air bubbles
now i know. 👍 To the artist id like to say these colors are by far the best ive seen used. thank you for sharing your masterpiece.
@@carengoodrich I don't see your "Community" tab. Where might I find this? thank you!
Absolutely love it. Yes leave the solid contrast. It's dramatic. It balances. It's perfect. 🟡🟢🔵
THANK YOU - Finally someone says how their board is prepped.
Really cool and it 's also wonderful to see the red under the black that you put
I absolutely love this canvas. Thankyou for your very clear explanations of what you were doing too.
Even without the black looks very nice
Good tips…first time I see your channel….great looking piece…❤❤❤
Good sense of proportion! Not everyone is able to stop on time.
Caren I absolutely love this but I would also love to see it once it's dry & perhaps hanging, (somewhere, anywhere) so that we can really see the end result. Keep uploading, you're tutorials are inspirational.
Kimm 65 a photo of the dry painting is posted in the community section of my RUclips channel. It is also on the wall behind me in a couple recent videos, search for my “Go Big” video to see it.
@@carengoodrich thank you for the reply & nice to know. I'll take a look. Can't wait to see what else you have been doing.
Every kid is a great painter.
Wonderful ... Thank You ... I learned a lot ... just starting with resin and you gave me much to think about. That's what I love about the art world, sharing is common and I have never given more away than comes back many times over ... I hope you find that to be true with your sharing.
This is awesome! The swipe is my favorite technique. I feel like I get the best results from it. I usually have used paper towels, but this straight edge tool is brilliant!! Thanks!!
Thank you so much for such an informative video. I loved all the details like not pouring straight lines and trying to be perfect. Also, loved how you explained about leaving the black at the top alone. And the tip with your swiping tool. I don't mind people talking on a video if they stick to the subject! Your painting really is gorgeous!
TexasRose50 you are welcome! Yeah I’m not here to perform magic, my goal is to explain what I am doing and why, with the goal that the viewer can do something similar. Thanks for watching and I’m glad you like it!
Caren, I just discovered your videos, and have only watched 2 so far. I read comments on another video where people were arguing what is proper painting. I had to laugh. I compare painting to baking. I'm sure French pastry chefs would frown upon our southern peach cobblers. But it's what the person baking prefers. Indeed, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As is what good tasting baked goods are to the pallet of the person eating. To me, acrylic pouring is about what is pleasing to the eye, and having fun! AND a stress reliever!!! I'm so glad to see you laughed off the terrible comments left on the other video I watched. Keep up the great work, you are a great teach, and people can learn a lot from you. Take care, and thanks for your quick reply. See ya on the next video! :)
Love it !! I am a artist that you have inspired to change lanes and do something different than my norm ,.
I don't know why but it seems to be a woman's thing to do this sort of art ? .
Anyhow your very good at it and very inspirational.
And this peace you have made look so simple ( nailed it) is a testament your your skills.
Thanks you young lady your a star ☆.
Elliot Hannah Um I’m a man and am doing this.
Oh. WOW 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you for sharing your work and explaining so clearly the What and Why of your procedures.
Stunningly beautiful!!! 🥰
Bonnie Brannon thanks! It’s always helpful to explain “why”, glad you like!
What a positive and inspiring channel! Thank you!
Hi Caren, did you know that this painting inspired me to go paintpouring myself? Of all the painting on the whole you tube this is my favorite!
Lulu no I did not know that! Happy to hear it!
Beautiful swipe, I love the earthy colors!
Rose gold masterpiece! I want ❤
This is the first (I really mean FIRST) swipe that I have seen that I love. It is also a wonderful treat to see gorgeous neutral, elegant colors instead of all the brights and blues! As an artist I respect the rights of the creator to do as they please. I find, however, that after a while all the creations take on a similar look. As a fellow creator in many mediums, I love to see you wonderful mentors go a little out of the ordinary! Thanks to your inspiration, I am going to try these colors on a large canvas for my own home! Can't wait. Just have to find a canvas!! lol
Thanks, Linda! Your comment means a lot to me. Yes a lot of people get attracted by the bright colors, and it causes RUclips creators to do bright colors, because they get more views and it becomes an endless cycle of eye candy. As these techniques advance, I hope people pursue their own paths and see where paint pouring takes us. My color choices have always been affected by the seasons, and right now I'm loving browns and golds. I also am working on some really neutral colors that remind me of ice and snow, I am currently intrigued by calm, soft neutrals and will share those findings soon.
Totally agree with you!
@@carengoodrich First, for you to answer and offer so much information is a real treat! I feel very special because I know you are so busy! Wow! A little star struck, Linda???!! lol Anyway, I am looking forward to more of your great work to come. You seriously are an inspiration and motivator to me.

It’s getting better...little by little. Thank you Caren ❤️
AWESOME !!!
STUNNING... WOW
What a beauty
U are talented i am blown away....luv it❤❤
Omgosh, well done. This is stunning sis. Seriously beautiful, you absolutely have skills. Thanks so much for sharing.
This is AMAZING! LOVED the colors you used. I need your paints in my life. Btw, I prefer wood to any canvas. I just like the sturdiness and weight. Thanks for the tip about priming the wood first.
Vanessa McKibben thanks...I like wood the best but it costs more than canvas, which can be an inhibitor.
Took me back to my days as a house painter with the edger you used. Great idea.
Love your work
Looks like the background of a Klimt piece. :) Nice texture!
This one is one of the most beautiful you made, I love it 🤩 😍 👌 👍
Beautiful painting and thank you for sharing.
Now that was goregous I think I'm gonna try re-create this myself
I have never seen anything like this. Really really cool and beautiful.

Wow, this is really lovely.
Nicely Done Caren! I like that straight edge I have a 12 inch metal edge but yours sure is sweet! Thanks for the wonderful video!
Very good!!!!
Great God gifted talent, Caren, wonderful earthy colours and the cells are wonderful and such a beautiful piece of art...awesome...Grammy Donna
donna remeika thank you, Grammy!!
Very very good
so beautiful
Thanks for the tips! I've been trying to swipe on larger canvases and totally had the sag issue in the middle. The edges were scraped clean and the middle didn't swipe at all. I tilted the canvas to make it work, but it wasn't what I had planned/wanted. Definitely taking notes on technique! Thank you!
Stephanie Florence you can help canvas from sagging by supporting it from underneath with something flat like thick cardboard, an upside down cookie sheet, etc.
@@carengoodrich thanks for the tip!!
Love your colors. So beautiful.
That's amazing! I'm an artist myself! I use mainly acrylic and sharpies. This is definitely something I'd want to try!
Stunning.
Not much to say, just BEAUTIFUL
Love these colors!
Seriously, that’s gorgeous 💗
Absolutely beautiful.
Wow!!! I really love it! In Mexico we would say... Está chingón!! 😍😍
Claudia Campillo gracias!!! :-)
wow! Beautiful! The black side does a good balance! The color is beautiful as well. I really Enjoy your video :D
That was a huge swipe, turrned out very interesting. ---Dave...
Dave Meinhaldt thanks Dave!
Wow... this was just lovely. Thank you so much! :)
Your pour is worthy to be displayed on the best Contemporary Residential Walls.
Well Done 😏
Absolutely amazing 😉 a women after my own heart! I to dislike symmetry and love it my own way 👍🏼😆
I don't know if all Ikea's have it, but at the Ikea near me there's a "handyman's corner" in the scratch and dent section where they sell random planks of the MDF that their furniture is made of. Their cost depends on their size and other features but they're all less than 10 bucks. a 2'x3' plank with a regular finish is probably about 4 dollars. that might be something to look into.
mookie714 good idea, for those who live near an IKEA!
Wonderfful
Beautiful pour
Beautiful
BELLISSIMO !!!!😊
So pretty
Of course, you could cut a board to fit the bottom of your canvas and like magic, it doesn't sag any more. Just a thought, and you can save them and reuse them over and over again. Artistry meets Engineering.
Ken Parnell I do that, too. I talked about supporting canvas underneath in some previous videos.
It's splendid
Middle finger swipe 🤣🤣🤣
Needs to be an option on Tinder!!
Blown. Away. I did not expect this to become so beautiful.
AwSomE aRt!!!
This is cool - totally new technique to me. Thanks for posting.
So great, love it
Really nice. Love the swipe with those colors. Hugs
PERFEITA... LINDA.
Really beautiful!
That is so AMAZINGLY beautiful!! Thank you for helping to further my path down this road! I am trying to hard to learn more on how to do this, never as awesome as this, but thank you for posting this!
wow beautifull
I’m so happy you’re uploading more often!!
Beautiful always love watching your videos
Absolutely beautiful 💓💓💓💓
Thinking how we as artists overwork the object. Love the colors too. I'm thinking with less colors and not swiping is just if not more awesome.imo
thomas ackerman there are some artists I admire who keep things simple. I try to keep simplicity in mind (at least most of the time.) It’s a fun challenge to remind myself to not overdo. Fewer colors is one way to not overdo. But I do love the results of the swipe, it’s my favorite pouring technique.
Metallics rock!! I also love playing with them and I also must say that I usually don't get so lucky with swiping as you did with this pour here :)) Awesome result!!!
I just discovered your page today and have decided to subscribe! This piece looks so beautiful ! I have never tried acrylic pouring but now I definitely want to give it a try! Thanks for sharing your technique !
Das Bild ist echt cool geworden.
Ein tolles Farbspiel :)
Beautiful!
