I have a new Amara and I find your videos so helpful. One thing that I would find even more helpful is if you told us which mode you are using and what speed setting. Thanks

Excellent information on the Minky. Nap and stretch. I like to work with it and haven't tried using as a back on the longarm yet! Perfect timing!

Great video! Can you show how you added the leaders to the pole’s. I’ve been trying to find a video showing how to get this done from the beginning. Thank you

Are channel locks available for the Moxie? I do not have the pro stitcher.

Yes! I just bought a Moxie and it came with one channel lock. Others are available to purchase.

I would like to know more about loading the backing and the top portion that is rolled. I have wqtched several videos and everyone does it differently. My ruler base keeps hitting on my pins at the top so I know I havent done something correctly. I have never stitched them on because i prefer to pin.

Hi Carlotta - I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Here's a video we did recently on loading your quilt:

@@HandiQuilter thanks-this is perfect, showing both ways. I've been confused about which way to load and it seems like I always load differently. Now I know what I need to do! Thanks!

I so enjoy these handi-quilter videos! I am happy to know I am doing things pretty correctly. I have a question though. I feel like any method I have used to plumb my quilts have not worked. Could my frame be skewed?

If you have a giant square, you can check your frame. Another way to check it would be to use your channel locks. Start with your machine on the left hand side. Use a tape measure to measure the distance between your machine and one of your poles. Move the machine to the right hand side and measure the same spot. If these are off, your frame might need to be adjusted.

@@kristinawhitneyhqstudioedu7013 Thank you I will try that!

I washed my leaders after quilting lots of quilts over several years. I used cold water and dried only to damp and they shrank at least 5 inches. The Velcro didn't shrink so I had to remove the Velcro and cut off that part or the leader that was now "curvy" and then reattach the Velcro-not fun!

You can also make your own, and prewash the fabric.
