    I've been sewing these Minky strip quilts and was wondering if I could do on my longarm. Searched and found this. What a Game Changer!! Less time and finger pokes from pins. Thanks for the tutorial!

    This has been the best yet. I just spent hours sewing strips to make a WOF by 8 foot long quilted ' soft door' for opening that needs a door but no room. I have the electronic channel lock and used it for the quilting but never thought to sew the strips on the frame. Also, your tip about making the line of stitch at top to use as guide to line up quilt for first stitching is brilliant. No more quilts a little wonky. Thank you.

    I would love if you had shown how to do the applique flowers. I have used this technique for 2 fast strip quilts and its great. My best advice is to coordinate your fabric and organize a pattern ahead of time.

    I have APQS 26 inch throatspace. this us a great idea for strip quilting. just a tip because we all need to learn from each other. when you stitch put your hand on the fabric after the needle not before. it won't bunch when you do that. thanks for the video.

    Hopefully retiring in a year and I was thinking about gifting myself a longarm. Wasn't sure I could justify the expense. These wonderful ideas just sealed the deal! Thanks for the inspiration:)

    This was fun and helpful. I do not have access to a long arm but I could see adapting the technique to a home machine for small quilts, especially baby quilts. I also love the quilt with the different fibers. That was great to show in this video. Perfect. Thanks.

    Fun! I use a portable cordless iron to press the seam if I’m using cotton.

      That is so exciting. Isn't it great that we can absorb all this information in preparation for doing the various steps. Also, just the creativity of the fabric selections is such fun to see. Enjoy your journey!

    Am so enjoying this series. You work well together and make things look much easier than I find them to be for me. I quilt on the sweet sixteen, so really enjoy demos while your using both long arm and sit down. Thank you

    I love this idea. But still cannot understand how you complete all the piecing and then come back and do the quilting. Would you do a video of when you get to the end and then come back to the top to do the quilting part? Thanks

    • @susanmei9980
      @susanmei9980 2 года назад

      I think you would just roll the quilt back up so you can start at the top and then go from there quilting each section back down to the bottom.

    To eliminate a tie off on the right, could you fold over, finger press and then top stitch from right to left instead of coming all the way back left and starting again? You maybe would need to go a bit slower coming back. Just a thought.

    I do strip quilts alot to practice on my long arm with! I donate them to Casa Kids! I don't have a channel lock on my machine! I'm sure there is a way to make it lock but not sure! I have heard to use clamps but not sure where or how on the machine
