Hi Susan, I have learned so much from you and plan to dive into the world of longarm quilting as a business. In the video you mention that you will list the color # of the exact threads that you like and use most often. I see a list of colors but no numbers. Could you please add the color numbers? I would like to place an order for my Isocord threads soon and it would be very helpful to have the color numbers. Thanks!
I have a Bernina Q20 on a frame and have found that Glide thread gives great results too. I love their prewound MagnaGlide bobbins. I've never had a tension issue with them.
Yes, I know lots of people who use Glide and other poly threads too. I just tend to use and stock one brand so that I rarely have to make adjustments. If Glide is your go-to...that's great!
What is the weight of your thread for longarm quilting? does the isacord come in different weights? what size of needle for the thread? where can I get more information on this product?
I have a question, for us colorblind people. Your essential threads, would you happen to have a the thread #'s of these threads? Since there are so many varying shades of each color. The only # that I see in the description is the 1514-RED. Thank you for all the great info!
I just got a new longarm machine and my dealer swears by Superior So Fine (which is what I have been using until I get more familiar with different brands and types). So far, so good. Thanks for your personal recommendations!
Can you give the thread color numbers/shade for each thread cone you use? Is Isocord offer 40 or 50 wt thread or both; what do you use? Does thread card offer needle size recommendations? Thanks, Susan, for sharing your great thread tips!
Thank you. Is it possible to put the shade numbers by the names like the red one, because over here they are named differently but the numbers are the same.
Susan said she’d add the shade numbers in the video description but probably hasn’t had time. She recommended the thread chart which is available on the Isachord website.
@@CraftAddictedWendy Thank you - it appears that the chart isn't available here, but perhaps my husband will be able to get one on his next trip to the US. I've searched the names and found numbers for some, but not all. I'm not surprised Susan is busy - she's a great quilter! He brought some greys last trip, so some ticked off my list!
Susan, have you used Isachord’s Yenmet Metallic thread? I swear by Kingstar but it’s more expensive and I’ve hesitated to try it on my long arm. Thanks!
Nice problem to have! Has Madeira metallic worked well on your longarm? If so, do you match your bobbin and make any stitch setting adjustments? I’m making some Christmas wall hangings and would like to partially quilt them with metallic thread. Thank you!

David, if you would email me (susan@stitchedbysusan.com) I would be happy to send you some of my favorite thread colors.

❤ thank you
Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
Thanks for the thread tips! ❤
Thanks for your information on threads. Would you be able to share where you get the large cones from? Often, I only see the small cones of Isacord.

Do you change colour of the bobbin tread if/when you change tread colour in a quilt ?

I have not. Madeira gave me more metallic than in I can use a lifetime🤣 so that’s what I’ve used.

Is this 40wt?

Wawak has the best price that I have seen.
